Much like when Batman Begins was filmed here a few years back, they're using Lower Wacker Drive for some key scenes, as well as filming at night.

Today in coming to work, I saw a few people milling about the trailers parked on Randolph (between Wacker and LaSalle) ad the appeared to be putting some equipment away. And then imagine my surprise when I see these 2 HUGE lighting structures (cranes?) set up/parked in front of the building where I work.

This is cool. Dark Knight a few weeks ago (returning soon for more extensive filming) and now Wanted. 2 comics-related movies. :) And I'm sure Tom Stillwell will be around at some point to add on to the commentary.

The only bad thing about them filming at night is that I won't see Angelina Jolie.... :(

I didn't know that Wanted was so far along. Not bad.

Perhaps you could lure her out by leaving a trail of third-world orphans.

Not to swerve off topic but where is that in relation to N. Michigan Ave? I'm coming to Chicago for work in the near future.

About 6-7 blocks west of Michigan Ave, depending on where they're filming exactly. Plus the majority of it is being done on Lower Wacker. (Yes, Wacker Dr has 2 levels of streets...)

Does anyone know if they're actually maintaining the superhero/world of supervillains idea from the book? Or are the characters simply master criminals.

They went from supervillains to assassins.

Yeah, I don't have much hope for this movie.

This is one of those rare cases that if they DO mess up the movie,it can only IMPROVE on it. I consider that last issue of Wanted one of the worst comics ever written, which is a shame because the previous issues were brilliant.

Hopefully they put a better ending.

I don't think it will be. I heard something about mythical furies being involved.

This is not going to ressemble the glory of Wanted in anyway.

And Morgan Freeman is in it. Playing um...Morgan Freeman?

Unfortunately, you're not the first one I've seen complain about the ending.

I was all stoked to pick up the trade until I heard all the complaints. :(

Kevin, still pick it up. The ending was a bit rushed and not one I liked. Nonetheless, the series was really good.

Wanted #6 came out when I was especially broke and I never picked it up, which might have been a good thing. I liked a lot about the mini, but it was a little extreme for my delicate PG-13 sensibilities. I'll still probably see the movie. I think I might quite like that actor, James McAvoy.

James McAvoy is in it? Mr Tumnus himself?

I should really look this thing up.

Like i said. I love Wanted, but it had the absolute worst last issue(and delayed at that..6 months?). I really enjoyed reading it...and i was more than willing to wait, but it was like Millar had a ending, scrapped it all,and told all the fans reading his comic to fuck off.

I will NOT spend money on the movie either.

I was so insulted by the ending.

I don't know how the writer telling the buyer he/she's an idiot and loser for buying it was thought to be a good idea.

Total Agreement. Sounds like he HAD a ending, got fed up with the fan attention it was getting, and basically gave us the middle finger.

Mark...if you do not like super-heroes so much..stop writing them,ok?
