I have just been getting into

Just wondering. =]

They're gonna do a live-action high school drama involving Reed Richards and Vic Von Doom. Needless to say it takes place long before the space accident.

It seems like no Marvel show has any staying power. They had Blade but I haven't heard anything about that for a long time. I probably got cancelled.

Same goes for the Fantastic Four cartoon they had.

You're gonna have to go to Colombia and bUy a bootlegged script. That will be all the proof you need that this will happen.

Dude, I fell for one thing. Doesn't mean I'll fall for everything else. Not like I would go to columbia for a fake script anyway.

EDIT:
As for comics, I haven't read half the comics most of the people on these forums have. I learn everything from spending too much time on these forums.

Richard Morgan's Black Widow would make the perfect tv show.

Think Alias but in the Marvel Universe with Hydra and/or A.I.M as the bad guys.

Occasionally with cameos by captain America, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Spiderman (?), Moon Knight etc.

It writes itself.

He looks about as buff as Mysterio...

They should have just gotten some wrestler that had wtf huge muscles or something. This guy didn't seem to fit it.

You're right... instead of Lou Ferrigno they should've got Captain Lou Albano to play the Hulk!

The Moon Knight thing's legit.

I don't believe there's been any word on it since then though, so it could be in limbo.

I'm not sure if MK would work or not. To many people could see him as a Batman ripoff and not take him seriously since he dresses in a white costume.

It would make a great HBO series (in the vein of Huston's MK).

As of 24th May 2007...

Meanwhile, continuing to develop scripts for Moon Knight. The first draft of the pilot is done, and we have 3 outlines in progress, with an eye towards having at least 6 scripts when we head to the US to sell the show during the summer.

The quote is from the blog of the creator of the Collector (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Collector_(TV_series)), which was a pretty good Canadian made TV show (which is one of the few that's shot as well as set in Vancouver, rather than Vancouver posing as say Kansas or Virginia). It might not ever actually get made, but there's still some hope. Hopefully the success of Heroes means that somebody might be willing to invest the time and money for a decent superhero TV show.

ona nother note, just watched the FF4 animated show on Cartoon Network....eh, a watered down version for the kiddies. That's fine by me, but also unwatchable for someone like me.

I hear that they're making a Fantastic four spin-off where Johnny moves to San Fransisco and finds out he's gay. It's gonna be called "Flamer-on"

I think they need to do a daredevil live action series based on the latest run starting with guardian devil with Michael Vartan as Matt and John Goodman as King Pin

I remember reading on Superhero Hype that there is a Skrull Kill Crew live action TV show being worked on. Or that there were plans to make one. I think that could be pretty cool. Me like Skrulls.

still haven't seen it, so I can't compare. But I still plan on renting all those 'comic book' movies that I have not seen yet, that we discussed on some thread a while back. :)

The problem with live action TV of superheroes is trying to present them in a way that shows super powers on a budget without looking cheesy...

http://xoomer.alice.it/amasoni2002/shl/marvel/generation_x_(1996).htm

I actually liked parts of it. If they had not gone nuts with the villain and gone into too strong of off topic weirdness, it might have taken off.

Yep. The special effects requirements automatically eliminates a lot of the fancy powered folk and pretty much requires a brawler type character. Daredevil, Hulk, and Captain America (if you go the TV series route instead of the movie route), and Wolverine all spring to mind as fairly easily done TV characters that might have enough of a following to succeed. Because no matter how well done the show is unless its on the Sci Fi network its going to need to pull good ratings early to keep going which means its going to need a well known character. Spidey is definitely out because of the movies and the CGI requirements. Hulk is out because of the sequel in the works. Which really only leaves Wolverine and Cap. Everyone else is too lesser known to succeed on network TV IMO.
