Definitely a visual upgrade from The Maakies.
Watching this was a tad bit surreal for me. I've always been mesmerized by the comics, and now watching this, it's so bright and lively. The tone of this whole bit will settle in after another viewing.
I missed Superjail, and I'm not up for another live action show, but I'll give Fat Guy on the Internet a whirl.
Later: Nah. No FGOTI for me. Good effort, but the material just isn't clicking with me.
That Crook'd 'Sipp was interesting, but the animation turned me off just a tad.
Let's Fish almost lost me. The beginning was suspect, but the restaurant scene snagged me. They almost lost me during the song number, but I'm glad I stuck around. The South Boston Savages was funny. This would the be first live action show I'll check out a second time.

Drinky Crow was alright, I'll give it a second chance. The animation was really nice. Very enjoyable. A little strange but it had some good laughs.
Superjail would have been better if it was funnier. I like a dark comedy but this was just way out there to me for some reason.
That Crook'd Sipp was ok but the storyline seemed all over the place. I'll give it one more chance.
Fat Guy Stuck In the Internet was awful. I remember this skit from that show on FUSE called Munchies(i think). I wonder if that's where they found the creators/producers of FGSinTI. Originally it was called Gemberling, If memory serves me correctly. I guess they liked what they saw and offered them a bigger budget. But this was just....no. Not funny at all and it used to be.
Let's Fish was ok, I'll give it a second chance. It had a few laughs but when I wasnt laughing I was pretty bored and annoyed. I'm not sure if any of these shows will last though.

I missed Superjail, but caught everything else.
Let's Fish - I'd give it a second chance.
That Crook'd Sipp - just couldn't get into it.
Fat Guy Stuck in Internet - actually it started off as a web-series called "Gemberling." It was on channel102.net - which is the NY sister site of LA's channel101.com - which has been adapted into acceptable.tv for VH1.
"Gemberling"'s web episdoes were only 5 minutes each. And it took them 2-3 episodes to really become hilarious. I'm giving it a second chance because after seeing the whole web series, I know how funny these guys can be. I'm thinking having to stretch out bits to fit 15 minutes instead of five (last night's pilot consisted of the first 2 webisodes), plus having to tone it down for TV (it's a very R-rated web show) are what made it so weak. Trust me, the guys on the creative team know how to be funny - they just need to find their footing.
"Drinky Crow" - I dug it. I think I'm still in shock from seeing it on TV, when I remember the old attempt to air it on SNL, and the live audience just didn't laugh.

All of these are the best new series Adult Swim offered since Moral Oral/Stroker & Hoop. They are far better than the current live actions.

This shifting to live action has me really turned off of AS, and it's not like I didn't give them chances. It's just not what I want from AS. I can't wait for more Metalocalypse, and of course Venture Brothers S3.
Let's Fish wasn't bad. I'm still satisfied with my Home Movies, Mission Hill, and Boondocks, and Venture Bros. dvds.
I'm really wondering what's going to happen with Futurama. Are they going to lose it all together when it starts up again on Comedy central? I'd imagine so. If they do, what's next for AS?

Superjail had the most potential.
I can give you the premise in a sentence.
"What if Willy Wonka developed secret prison-operating techniques instead of secret candymaking techniques, and what if he built a secret magical jail instead of a secret magical candy factory?"

"What if Willy Wonka developed secret prison-operating techniques instead of secret candymaking techniques, and what if he built a secret magical jail instead of a secret magical candy factory?"
Or more succinctly, "What if a psychotic Willy Wonka, with kooky employees, ran a superjail for extreme criminals?"
I loved Superjail. It was absolutely insane and felt like stream-of-consciousness animation. My only complaint is that it seemed too short. I know it's only a pilot, but I expected at least 15 minutes. Maybe it'll get picked up and the regular series will have longer episodes. Superjail is the only one I've seen so far, but I recorded the rest of them on DVR and will check them out later.
