Every year, hundreds to thousands of films are made. Very few are recognised in one way or another. Some deserve the notice, and some others do not. This is one movie that reluctantly shows up everywhere due to forced commercialism, and not by swarming popularity. Now I see why: "Happily N'ever After" is, without a doubt, the worst computer generated feature I have ever seen.

Now, let's start with the thin and incredibly cliched plot. Apparently, that's a part of the point. Something "Shrek" has already successfully covered. Then again, it's by the same creators. Makes you think that they have run out of ideas with only one out set movie saga("Shrek" and the sequels). So time and time again, the valiant knight saves the pretty girl. Only now, an annoying and unimpressive sorceress has kidnapped the girl, and the valiant hero is useless. So who will save her? I knew the answer before we even got to this point in the film. It's the handsome and povertful lad that has everything annoying about a goody goody hero mashed into him.

To aid him on his quest are two weird animals. The duo are the kind of sidekicks that you want to punch in the face and scream "SHUT UP!" Even then, that's pretty mild. The major comic relief is the purple cat of the two of them, who is strict and says things that are emberassing, even to the viewers. For example, he tries to act like a homie. No laughs insue, but major groans and hiding behind cloth saying quietly "I'm so emberassed to even be watching this!" It's the kind of pathetic gestures that you wish you never would see, and they're on a platter for you.

The ending is obvious. The sorceress is unharmly sent to an area of seclusion, where there is the cliche of some final humerous moment of the villain being miserable while screaming how great they are. The two annoying heroes get married at a wedding beyond any budget they could afford in real life. It's ridiculous.

So overall, it's a mash of moronic ideas into one pathetic attempt to cash off of the Shrek franchise. So please, do not watch this travesty of a film, and stick to "Shrek" and its sequels. It's the only movie series that can use the twisted fairy tale idea without making it seem like it was made on a two dollar budget and sloppy writing.

My Rating: 0 out of ****

Who else saw this catastrophy of a film?

I didn't.

I pretty much expected it to be a poorly done "Shrek" knock-off.
