Just some brief mentions, and preview art from WWH: Frontline #1. (Despite the cover to WWH: FL #5 being shown again.)

Q: reinemann2 05-04-2007 08:55 AM

What's your favorite Hulk fight of all time and what Word War Hulk fight are you most looking forward to?

JQ: Of all time is hard to say, reinemann2, probably FF #26 in which the Hulk battled just about everyone. As for World War Hulk, to tell you my favorite fight would give away some story points, let’s just say that Round 1 is a doozy!

And in another part of the interview, Joe Q. lists WWH as the #1 "big" Marvel story to keep your eyes on, even above Spider-Man: One More Day.

I've got a new baby on the way so that means I'll be cutting back on some comics or using your competitors work for diapers. I've been testing that theory, it works well for #2 but #1 isn't absorbing so well. With that being said, what are the top 5 titles or storylines to keep an eye on for the 2nd half of 2007?

JQ: Aw man, jsaon08, your poor kid’s butt!

Okay, you only have so much money to spend, I dig it, so let’s keep the stories big and global.

1.) World War Hulk is a must, five issues, not too bad right?

I'm guessing he means Hulk vs Iron Man. It's the biggest one I can foresee with a round one and a round two.

Just like Captain America vs Iron Man within Civil War. :D

Sounds good. I'm glad that the event starts off with a good bang. Nice images from Frontline I presume.

If, when this crossover is finished, Brevoort still insists that the Marvel US population doesn't believe in aliens...Well, I'll be rather irritated.

Is Brevoort a moron? Earth was turned into an alien prison planet less then a decade ago during Maximum Security. Aliens have been trying to invade Earth many times publicly since the sixties. And he says Earth doesn't believe in aliens?

First, he edited Maximum Security. Secondly, he actually made some good arguments for a strange position.

Actually, I'm almost certain he means Black Bolt (which is the first fight in WWH). If it goes down like Quicksilver saw in Silent War, it'll be a doozy indeed.

Secondly, he actually made some good arguments for a strange position. But still, the Silver Surfer, the coming of Galactus... all of those times that flying saucers came out of the sky and started blasting things...Invasions by the Skrulls and the Toad Men... Not to mention all of the superheroes who openly proclaim themselves to be aliens.

He DID say it was an editorial mandate, though. I don't think he'd just make something like that up.

And considering everyone on Earth acts like chickens-with-their-heads-cut-off everytime they see an alien, it's not unfathomable. I mean, you'd think they'd have gotten used to it by now...
