In no particular order, well, except for number 1:
1. Hulk - No contest, strongest there is.
2. The Thing - Just won't quit.
3. Gladiator - Marvel's Superman.
4. Thor - Marvel's greatest Warrior.
5. Silver Surfer - He just belongs on the list.

I don't think I can narrow it down to five. These are the ones that I think belong at the top, although I doubt that you could say for sure who is stronger than the other:
Sentry
Silver Surfer
Hulk
Hercules
Thor
Beta Ray Bill
Gladiator

Strongest? Hulk. Stan wrote him like that and intended him to be the strongest. That's all there is to it.

This would be my list too.
Sentry would make it, but you could just say "you suck!", and he would start crying like a little girl. Y'know. Mental problems and all that.

In the Silver Surfer #125 book, didn't Hulk try to punch, fight, and stomp Surfer yet Norrin just laughed it off?

I'm not sure, but I think I'd put Thor at #1 or #2. Followed by Sentry, followed by Hulk.

Here's mine:
-Silver Surfer: 'Nuff said.
-Hulk: 'Nuff said.
-Thor: Not only is he hella strong physically, but Mjolnir and his magic powers make him even more formidable.
-Sentry: As much as I hate him, here he is :s
-Hercules: I'm thinking that Herc is gonna be a VERY prominent member of the Marvel U, post Civil War, and part of that is making him one of the strongest there is. He also has that club of his, and he's already been proven at least as strong as Thor.
1. Thor- his willpower and ability to take a beating and still bring it puts him #!
2. Silver Surfer
3. Hulk
4. Beta Ray Bill
5. Adam Warlock

1) Thor
2) Sentry
3) Hulk
4) Adam Warlock
5) Dr. Strange
As for my other top two contenders (Nova and Silver Surfer). Not including Nova since he has only been so powerful since recently. Oh, and I am pretty sure Thor and Hulk have beaten Surfer before, and I think the other 3 could probably manage.

Not sure what's his status now but formerly , bad guy juggernaut is a powerhouse but good guy juggernaut is a shell of his former glory , nowhere near the powerhouse that he was in the past.
Hulk have always been up there
Silver Surfer
Sentry (although i find his origins and character lame)
Thor
Gladiator and Hyperion (flip side of the same coin , both have similiar powers , except Gladiator proved to be better trained than Hype when they fought)

I mean you could probably have a fight-off, but my money would be on Thor, even though he was made into a crisp by the Destroyer. Could the Surfer withstand the Destroyers destruction blast? I know Thor has taken the Hulk out on a few occasions. My moneys on Thor. He just never gives up, even when he's beat. Put the rest after him.

Oh, and I am pretty sure Thor and Hulk have beaten Surfer before, and I think the other 3 could probably manage.Hulk has beaten a weakend Silver Surfer once. Silver Surfer on the other hand has humbled the Hulk at least three times.
And Nova should be above Thor nowadays. When Nova was just a regular nova centurion he was able to hurt Thor with his punches. Now he has the power of a thousand Nova centurions.
1) Hulk - he has done more feats of strength than anyone else.
2) Juggernaut
3) thor
4) silver surfer
5) sentry

That's a bit of a exaggeration , Hulk actually had the upper hand on regular thor more times than Thor ever did on Hulk.

Well if we're going by what we saw last of the characters in question and not playing off the average for them, then Thor would have not one problem with Nova. He was more powerful than Odin last we saw.

I'm actually going by current versions of the characters.
Then Thor is not really eligable since he's not around. I'm just saying that if you take the last time we saw each of them though. I don't know what to say, either we average their careers to compare or take them at last we saw.

And since we're not sure about what power level he will be at I'm using the more classic version of Thor. And Nova's more powerful than that version.
But that's just my reasoning.
All lists are personal anyway.
