I have always liked the look of the new headquarters. I can't wait for the new story. But I'm not to hot on the colors for the cover art.

The thing I like most about that cover is that Abe looks like a man of action rather than Mr. Mopey McMopePants.

That's a great description, and I think that comes across about most B.P.R.D covers with Abe.

So is that big guy that is the new member the same big guy from Garden of Souls?

Am I the only one who thinks that Daimo looks evil on this cover? With the recent revelations on his past and him be'n one of the most secretive about his past it's not something that can't be considered. Plus I have to once again aree with Danny on the colors-> some other choice for this cover might have worked a lot better. I'll try to reserve my final opinion on that untill we get this image with a BPRD and the series logo, though.

That's what I thought also. I guess we'll find out in a few short issues if either of us is correct.

You guys are on crack, the colors are great!
This piece is moody as hell, and the red makes the energy crackle and adds a pall of doom to it. The only thing I wonder about is the inclusion of The New Guy, but it also occurs to me that it might actually play into The Garden of Souls to see him. We'll see.

Well I don't want to speak for everyone else, but yes.
And I think I can unequivocally say the same of these two fellows:

But regardless of what's coursing through my veins KT, I agree with you. Kinda started talking about some of this stuff on the Garden of Souls spoiler thread (didn't want to taint any virgin ears).

The plot synopsis says "...a new member to the Bureau and Johann finds himself in possession of a very valuable commodity..."
Rather than Mr. Mahree (who is blonde) I wonder if this is one of those bodies growing in the mansion's tanks. Speculating even further, if this body is an empty, mindless vessel, then I believe Johann's "very valuable commodity" is a new body for himself.

That was my theory as well - it would be nice, wouldn't it. Much improved over his original form ;)

pretty sure that wouldnt happen. roger was very much at peace with his "death," if i remember correctly he was actually tired of all the killing.

how long has Johann been a dis-embodied spirit? years? in all that time he hasnt had to eat, use the bathroom, or sleep. in "the universal machine" johann was researching 24 hours, no breaks, because he didnt have any physical limitations. and more recently he has been excavating the exploring the B.P.R.D. headquarters during all of his sleepless hours.
now i imagine that having a body again would be wonderful, having nerves and taste buds, and apparently a huge amount of muscle. BUT, wouldnt the limitations be annoying? will he permanently establish himself in a physical body, or will he maybe keep the containment suit around and work as a spirit while the body sleeps? alsooooo if he can just body hop like that, is he immortal? as long as he isnt in his body when it dies? even though he apparently has the ability to possess a dead body, like the dog in "plague of frogs."
seems to me that the best story device would be to perhaps force johann to give up his astral projection abilities in order to establish himself in a new body. i mean he cant just be an unanchored spirit forever, he has to move on some time.

I think I know what's going to happen, but I'm afraid to spoil it... Because if I'm right, then it's a massive, colossal, immense spoiler.

unless you know for a fact it isnt a spoiler, its just educated speculation.
plus theres always the spoiler hider
which apparently doesnt work on these forums....
