View Full Version : More scared of Mighty Avengers? Or T-bolts?

While reading the last couple issues of Mighty Avengers and Thunderbolts I got to thinking. Lets say your an unregistered D-list superhero out on the lamb. Which team are you afraid of more to track you down and take you in to justice? The Mighty Avengers? Or the Thunderbolts? I don't know about you guys but the T-bolts would scare me senseless. They will cripple you just to slap on the cuffs. The Mighty Avengers would be fun to fight if you ask me. I know they're not gonna hurt me first of all. And with that lineup I think I'd actually have a chance of escaping at least. I know they're supposed to be the "greatest lineup of Avengers ever assembled". But with what I've seen so far they just seem to be a bunch of bumbling bafoons always a step behind and a buck short. Members of The New Avengers have shown them up already on a couple different occasions and they couldn't lift a finger to stop the new sexy Starktron. So what good are they? Heros and villains beware! The Thunderbolts are out there, and they will bag and tag your ass!

i'm going to have to vote for the thunderbolts because of their slightly more VIOLENT approach, that and the fact that the new avengers recently kind of made an ass out of the mighty avengers - if they can do it, so probably can others

True, but none of the Mighty Avengers will eat your brains and squat them out on your mother's grave.

The Thunderbolts were owned by Jack Flagg. So Mighty Avengers all the way.
Although Bullseye handled the Flagg situation pretty quickly, and did much worse than any Avenger would do to a non-registred hero. So:
Bullseye >>>>>>>>>>>>>Sentry, Ares, Iron Man, Wonder Man, Ms. Marvel, etc.
Hmm on the one hand, the new Thunderbolts are violent and bloodthirsty.
On the other hand, Tony might take a sample of my hair and make a cyborg clone of me.
Brrr.
Hard call.

But I'd probably say Thunderbolts would scare me more anyway.

The Mighty Avengers have some powerful people on their team, but the Thunderbolts have Bullseye.
So yeah. The Thunderbolts, no question.

I think it depends who I am. If I am, oh, let's say Dr. Demonicus, the Avengers. If I am Captain Ultra, the Tbolts.

Even though the Mighty Avengers are much more powerful, something would still sit wrong with me knowing that the government is sending Venom and Bullseye after me.

I would feel confident that the Mighty Avengers wouldn't try to cripple me for life, then smack the crap out of me while I'm lying helpless on a stretcher.
I really like how Ellis showed Steel Spider freaking out when he realized the T-bolts were after him.
I feel asoon as the Thunderbolts get there teamwork together they would be far more dangerous than the might avengers. Hell bullseye has paralized 2 people already, thoese scenes were dark as hell....but like you guys said D-listers have really been giving them a kicking lately.

Depends on what I'm scared of. If I'm scared of my long-term plans being ruined or of incarceration, I'd fear the MA more. If I'm scared of being beaten to a pulp, definitely the T-Bolts.

I don't want to be crippled and destroyed, so the Thunderbolts would scare me more.

If I'm a street-level unregistered hero, the Thunderbolts (paralysis/severe beating doesn't sound fun).
If I'm a planetary-level unregistered hero, the Mighty Avengers since I'm reasonably sure I can smackdown the T-Bolts.
Which team do you think they'll send after Thor?

It was in the Initiative #1, i believe the thunderbolts first mission....i forget who the super-human was they were chasing but as he was running away bullseye threw 3 darts into his spine...his reaction "I can't feel my legs!"

Sentry > Bullseye Sentry has been around since inception of MU, Bullseye has been handled by Daredevil.
Wonderman > Songbird Wonderman. . .is awesome, Songbird isn't.

Whoever they send, (it will be Mighty Avengers, so they can have the Thor Iron Man conflict) They will get owned. This is much as Thor's world as it is Captain America, or Iron Man. And honestly, Thor could own Iron Man

Thunderbolts easily.
The Mighty Avengers will take you down, but they won't try to kill you. And If I was a super-hero I might be a friend with one of them.
Not to mention: I like the idea of being "arrested" by Ms. Marvel. ;)
Don't knock sexy!Ultron. Any version of Ultron is extremely dangerous. And this new one has super-powers of all sorts to deal with *and* they don't know any info on "her".

The T-bolts performance isn't at 100% because they are on a short leash from the government and they can't do to much damage with the media watching their every move.
If they could do what they wanted Jack (or any street leveler) would have been soloed by any of them. Well, except Swordman.
Of course, if you get in their custody the chances are more likely you'd get crippled and/or beaten to a pulp than with the MA.

Iron Man won't be fighting him alone. He's got Sentry, Wonder Man and Ares backing him up.
Ms. Marvel could be a pain, as well.
