It’s time for super-crime this July, as the cast of “Super-Villain Team-Up/M.O.D.O.K’s 11” unite to pull off the perfect heist. Writer Fred Van Lente told us about the mini-series.

It sounds so fun, but I am probably going have to skip this because my comic budget is already maxed out. Hopefully we'll get a TPB.

One of the reasons I'm so glad I joined the Army is that now I'll have lots of extra money to buy every comic book that piques my fancy, and this one is DEFINITELY one of those :)
I've always liked MODOK, and I think he hasn't been well-treated at all by writers. He's a character that has not been overused and has lots of potential.

the interview didn't win me over but the characters involved did.

Isn't Armadillo on the Texas Rangers Initiative team?

It's mentioned in the interview:“Armadillo — No super-team would be complete without a strongman, and this one is sick of playing at cheap Lucha Libre wrestling ampitheaters in Mexico. (Apparently the whole ‘Rangers' thing didn't work out.) M.O.D.O.K. also needs him because of those big tunneling claws of his.

Been looking forward to this for a while, now. Van Lente's playing it cagey, but some of the previews have already given away one of the two "mystery" members. That does leave one unaccounted for, though.
I like how the interview says that Mentallo is looking up to be a "fan favorite". Maybe this means we'll be getting a Fabian Nicieza penned "Fixer/Mentallo: The Boys Are Back In Town?" limited series? :)

Man an impossible job for such a rag tag team of Supervillains, I got to see this. :D
Beside they have to mention World War Hulk, one way or another, since the event is what made the heist possible. :o

"to successfully pull off their heist M.O.D.O.K.'s 11 will have to overcome a number of obstacles and adversaries. “Other than somehow breaking into an impenetrable fortress phased only partially into our time stream and stealing the most powerful weapon ever devised out from under the noses of vastly powerful psychic beings evolved billions of years beyond us and their army of indestructible synthezoids?”
Ok, that just sold me.

I'm pretty sure he'll be back on the Rangers like nothing happened after this.
I'm guessing that, since they said in the interview that this series was planned before Civil War, Armadillo fell though the editorial cracks.
Probably the editor of Civil War just didn't realize that Armadillo was also being used here. Or didn't care. It's an epidemic condition among Marvel editors. It's like asking about the Black Knight's sword, or why people the Punsher killed show up live in other comics two months later.

Yay, I knew the black woman was Deadly Nightshade. I'd read the comic just for her, the rest of the villains are an added bonus.
Still upset that there's no Serpent Society member joining, though. :(

I've got a solution, and it doesn't involve the Scarlet Witch or Superboy-Prime.
King Solomon's Frogs.
Resolves all of these duplicate issues, and they're back in play in the MU again. :)

Maybe he's Lupus Sapiens, too. Like Sabretooth, Wolverine, Sasquatch, Wild Child, Feral, and Thornn.

I will get this although my expectations are not too high. Never read a book by Van Lente. I think he is mainly doing Marvel Adventures stuff?

As if that's ever stopped anyone from coming back. Psh. ;)
Maybe if instead of saying "No More Mutants", the Scarlet Witch had said, "Out, Out, Damn Spot!"

Hey wait, isn't the Spot dead? Broken neck and all?
Was that from the Tangled Web story with Tombstone? If so, I'm sure they can say that one was not quite in-continuity.
Then again, I think the Handbooks addressed that storyarc and said he wasn't dead or something. Who knows.
I've been waiting for this one since Agents of Atlas came out. Weird side stuff like this is FAR more interesting to me than the mainstream fluff.

Wait for the next handbook to the MU and most of the villians who died in Wolverine's arc will have been fakes. This book seems to have alot of characters who are doing other things acting as bad-guys again. If it does well it'll carry on but if it is does'nt sell well most likely it'll be retconned to hell.
Also why does Puma look more like a dog then a cat?
