Cable and Deadpool spoilers at the request of Brian Moranor. Enjoy! :D
Cable has an inner struggle throughout the issue and is arguing with himself over whether or not he should get his powers back, and if he's only doing what's expected of him, playing a role, he likes that without powers he’s not forcing anyone to do what he wants them to do, and is afraid that if he does have powers again it’ll corrupt him or something, the Mummudrai talks to him (looks like a slug thing with big teeth and tiny legs), Karima, Mystique, Lady M, Iceman and Cannonball try to fight off Hecatomb, Cable makes a comment at one point about the team being good at what they do, tearing stuff up, rending, and general bullying, oh yea, and protecting people who hate and fear them, Sam gets to pull off a nice looking move that doesn't work, but looked cool anyway, either he or Bobby make a joke about there being too many chiefs and not enough Indians, Deadpool plays strip poker with Bob, Alex, Sandy, and Inez, he shows up in Cable's dream and says that Hecatomb sounds like a funny word, and tells Cable to do what he thinks is best, then Cable tells him that Outlaw is bluffing, I think it was Outlaw, either that or Sandy, and she’s all like, how did you know? Domino and Prester John come across Cable looking all spacey and John detects something in Cable’s mind with his mystic wand thingy, Cable is gradually getting his powers back because he can feel the Mummudrai tinkering around in his mind, and listen in on other people's thoughts again. He realizes that the minds of the people that the Hecatomb took are still in it and want to be set free. He says he doesn’t like knowing everything again, his connection to the infonet is severed and Irene and Blackbox notice this. They try to evacuate the island but they will have to make 20 trips, and they’re not going to make it all the way to Australia, the escape pods aren’t working and Cable makes the island float/break away with his telekinesis, and the whole time he was slowly making his way to the hospital and Rogue, because the Mummudrai told him that she was the only one who could help him defeat the Hecatomb, he wonders if he’ll have to beat the thing with her or for her, and also thinks that every step he takes towards her room, he’s coming closer to destroying/losing himself. And at the end Cable accepts his fate and wonders if it’s a trick of the mind or something like that… And the next issue will have Deadpool vs. Sabretooth!
Phew, I think that was everything that happened in C&DP!

Thanks for that, UAG! I'll definitely be getting this. And you better run to Rogue, Cable. Faster.

woot, Thanks UAG. I'm going to get this issue for sure. And I heard that Deadpool considers himself an Honorary X-Man in that issue, which is funny because I put Deadpool in the Honorary X-section before this issue even came out. :D

Sounds interesting. It also sounds a lot like Cable is losing his mind!

Well, this sounds interesting. Kinda had that feeling about Rogue's purpose in this - kinda hard not to I guess. Thanks for the spoilers Uni! As always, much appreciated!

Very good, the best issue of this series since the Cap. America one. Cable seems to be losing his mind, like rwsmith said. And Sam's joke about too many chiefsand not enough it's funny because it's true.

story felt like filler.
Really?! I don't think it was filler at all.
I thought it was a great crossover with X-Men.

This issue wasnt bad but it really seemed more like a filler story than a continuation of the actual story itself. It came off to me as more of a trying to get X-Men readers to check out the Cable Deadpool series rather than being an integral part of the story.

Maybe thats just beacuse you don't actually read Cable & Deadpool?
I read both C&D and they were both great.
What were you expecting? Did you just want it to be another issue of X-Men? It DOES say cable & Deadpool on the cover, and that is what was delivered.

No i do read cable and deadpool, but this issue didnt progress the story and we didnt even need an issue of this series wasted on that.

It was a character issue. Getting into the mind of cable.
They've happened sporadically throughout the series. #19 and #25 spring to mind.
It definitely progressed Cable & Deadpool as a series.
I really liked this issue. I liked the Cable introspection and thought it was really great to see his struggles of just letting the Mummaradai into his head.
I'm interested in how much of the comments that Cable made were Fabe being angry at the X-Men writers, and how much it was supposed to be what's actually going through Cable's head.

There definitely seemed to be some metafiction going on.
You gotta feel for Fabe, having one of his title characters almost completely out from under his control. As much as I might not prefer his version of Cable, it's really not fair to him.
And although I sympathize, I can't say I thought the issue was great. Though a lot of that probably falls to me being unable to separate the story from what's going on in the company that made it.

I still don't get how people think this story is filler. It was about Cable getting his powers back. "Making a deal with the Devil". Was Cable just supposed to show up in X-Men #199 and magically have his powers back?

This was a waste of an issue. The mumuradi bs doesnt last more than an issue. Should I join should i not join should i join should i not join. O wtf ill just join and the screwy xmen editors will retcon it an issue later This was the all important purpose to have a tie in with that crapola. Luckily I buy cable deadpool anyway, but still think it is a waste of an issue. Would rather have had a whole issue devoted to deadpool strip poker than what we got.

I figured Fabian liked the pub Cable was getting. I still don't know if he doesn't.
The comments were kinda interesting if you look into it. I assume it was the bully coment you guys are refering too.
And btw, What's going on in the Company?
