Forgive the hype, but this week's ODDBALL COMIC is so old, so obscure, so expensive and so, well, Oddball, that I wager none of you have ever seen or even heard of it!

ODDBALL COMIC #1,172 - MONDAY, MAY 7, 2007 -- We're proud to present one of the most obscure ODDBALL COMICS ever - COLOSSUS COMICS! And with features like “Colossus A.D. 2640”, “Educational Adventures Of Panda-Lin”, “Lucky Lucifer, Flyer Of Fortune”, “Lum Sims”, “Mory Marine”, “The Tulpa Of Tsang”, “Blond Garth, King Of The Isles” and “Ruggey”, perhaps it deserves its obscurity! One thing's for certain, this has gotta be a contender for the title of “Most Crudely-Produced Mainstream Comic Book Of All Time”!

Really, gang, you've GOTTA see this one!

Aloha,

Scott!

Yes, just a little oddball I'd say... Fabulous stuff! I'm sad to say I'm not familiar with Bernie Weist. But I loved the scan you provided of that splash page of the 13 pg. Colossus story. The elegant and clear line along with the flat colour reminded me a bit of L. B. Cole. Thanks Scott!

I should mention that I gave this a three oddball rating. It deserves a notch higher, but the "(Hey, “Lum Sims” cartoonist “’Nard”, Al Capp just called and he’d like to have his hillbilly concept back!)" was too fun to ignore.
