It was/is FCBD at The Golden Apple Comicbook Store in Melrose.They gave away tons of free comics and stuff to all.Thanks to Sharon and Ryan!There were about 100 folks while I was there. there was a steady flow of people there.All the Mignolas were in the house.The always nice and lovely Christine and Kate were there with Mike.Dark Horse had sent the Island 1&2 for Mike to sign and also a pretty cool Darkness Calls print. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p217/gdeo/newestpix095.jpg

That print looks pretty sweet. I love the colors...they really pop!

Also had the chance to chat with Mike and how happy he was with the response to Darkness Calls , he told me that the following issues just gets better. "Yea Duncan".I cannot wait for next month.I also saw a preview of Balitmore...(the one that's on ebay) I cannot wait for this one also:D I also ran into our very own and always cool Mr. Tad Stones.Lastly,Mike was gracious enough to sketch a Hellboy in my sketchbook.Thanks again to The Mignola's for everything!You all are always so very nice to me:D http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p217/gdeo/newestpix094.jpg

Awesome! What a great FCBD event. Nice to see you got some cool aditions to your collection.

As for the life sized Silver Surfer...I saw that at the theater when I went to see Spidey 3 and it is incredible. I'd love to have that in my house. I don't know where it would go but it would sure look sweet. I could put it on the roof at Christmas time with a Santa hat on and a bag of toys slung over his shoulder.

That has got to be one of the best Hellboy head sketches I've seen! The print looks great, too! It has the estetic quality with all the white in it. You lucky, lucky people! ;)

You hit the nail on the head. The contrast between the red & white really makes that print.

I would cry with girlish glee and then pass out if I met Mike and he drew something like that for me. So jealous...
