Folks,

in the latest "Previews" there are listings for collections of both these strips.

a) I am of course aware of Simon and Kirby's early work, of which I believe "Blue Bolt" is about the earliest. I'm sure it would be worth getting as a "historical document" ... but has anyone ever read it? Would it still be entertaining today? What's it actually about? (I believe it is SF).

b) More recently than "Blue Bolt" ;-) we have Jim Valentino's "normalman". Just about the only Valentino work I've ever read was his "Guardians of the Galaxy" and for the most part I appreciated his efforts. Is "normalman" 'good'? Is it funny?

Basically, are these worth buying? And if so, why?

p.s. I hope this is an appropriate use of the forum ...

Normalman is a very funny superhero parody and to me, is far superior to his work on Guardians of the Galaxy, which I don't think suited him. I've not read Normalman for sometime though, and something tells me that it may seem dated now.
