Below is the Article that came out in The Hollywood Reporter. They still list Abe Sapien as being voiced by David Hyde Pierce. But I heard GDT in person say that Doug Jones would be supplying the voice of Abe.

Luke Goss is rejoining director Guillermo del Toro for Universal Pictures' "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army."

The movie reunites the first movie's principals -- Ron Perlman as Hellboy, Selma Blair as Liz Sherman and both David Hyde Pierce and Doug Jones as Abe Sapien -- for a supernatural action-adventure that sees the world of myth rebelling against humanity.

Goss will play Prince Nuada, a ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below, defying his bloodline to awaken an unstoppable army of creatures.

Lawrence Gordon, Lloyd Levin and Mike Richardson are producing. Del Toro and "Hellboy" creator Mike Mignola wrote the script.

Filming is scheduled to begin in June in Budapest for an Aug. 1, 2008, release.
Goss worked with del Toro on "Blade II," in which he played bad guy Nomak. He appeared in Hallmark's "Frankenstein" miniseries, which also starred Donald Sutherland and William Hurt, as well as "The Man" from New Line and "One Night With the King," with Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole.

Goss is repped by Insomnia Media Group and David Woods in the U.K.

It's just the Hollywood Reporter getting it wrong again. Doug's playing ALL of Abe, for sure. :D It's good to see Luke Goss on board, though. He was such a pleasant surprise in Blade 2, and I was most impressed with his performance. Until then he had just been a not-very-interesting pop singer, but the guy has talent indeed as an actor.

I agree that Luke is an excellent choice to work with Guillermo again. I won't say he made Blade II (that was probably more Guillermo's general sense of things than any one actor), but he certainly made it more interesting to watch.

Sounds good, although I'm honestly much more interested in the other characters Doug is playing.

King Nuada was a mythical leader of the Tuatha de Danann who was forced to abdicate due to losing his hand. Some legends report that a mechanical silver hand was forged for him, that allowed him to retain his kingship.

I wonder if any of that is being included in the script. Mignola draws on an impressive amount of Celtic myth.

Perhaps they are making Goss' character the son of King Nuada. There's bound to be some humiliation to being forced to resign from the crown. Maybe instead of the silver hand, this is where the three parts of the key to release the golden army comes in. Just a theory.
