OK guys - you know the rule, no reading other answers, no reference material etc... etc...
There are 3500 points up for grabs - Contest closes Sunday night at 6:00 PM EST.
This is a tough one, but hopefully its varied enough to have a little something for everyone.
1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/eerie-small.jpg

a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound (for this one I'll except two possible artists - as one started on the series (1st 5 issues?), but many people feel it was defined by another penciller.t
c) Charlton’s Hercules
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:

Since it's pretty obvious that I'm gonna bomb on this one, I want to nominate myself for some sort of bonus for being the first to answer a quiz for something like the 4th week in a row (depending, of course, on whether someone else posts before I finish this) ...
1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
Uh ... isn't Fox a TV network?
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
b -- Hunter, or something like that.
c -- Drax?
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound
c) Charlton’s Hercules
b) I mainly remember Wally Wood inking some artist from overseas (Ric Estrada? Or am I thinking of All-Star?), but I know Walt Simonson took over on pencils later in the run.
c) Sam Glanzman
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
EC -- Uncle Ghastly Graham Ingels
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
That's a bottle of beer, & he's drunk as a lord.
Or maybe it's not the real Batman? After all, the bat on his uniform doesn't show the TV-era yellow oval ...
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
Black Canary?
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
One of 'em's gotta be Sea Devils, surely. (a)?

1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
I've never even heard of it. I do know about Victor Fox, however.
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
Yeah. Right.
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound - Walt Simonson
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
Yeah. Sure.
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
It's not really Batman. It's some villain in a Bat-suit. Cept he doesn't realize the "New Look" happened so he doesn't have a yeller oval on his union suit.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
Red Tornado?
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
b.) looks Sea Devily.

1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
I always mix up Fox characters with other defunct superheroes. Guesses:
Commando Yank
Green Lama
The Target
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/eerie-small.jpg
(a) The Goblin. I know it doesn't look like a Goblin, but that's the only other Warren lead character I can remember, other than the Rook, and it's not the Rook.
(b) "Star" Something? No idea.
(c) Dax the Damned?
(d) Unless they were doing a series based on the Colossal Beast (a.k.a. "The Amazing Colossal Man"), I don't know. It's sure enough based on the look of the character from the two sci-fi flicks of the 50's.
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics: Lou Fine doesn't sound right, because I've never heard anyone wishing for a reprint of this series, like they have every other Fine-drawn series. I'll guess Mort Meskin for no particular reason.
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound:
This one seems a bit subjective; since people don't ever seem to talk about this series, I'm not sure which of its few artists would be considered "most closely associated with" it. Walt Simonson did some work, as did J. L. Garcia-Lopez, I think. But I believe it started out with art from Wally Wood.
c) Charlton’s Hercules:
Sam Glanzman
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
I can't even begin to make a reasonable guess on this one. "Uncle Norman" Maurer?
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/Batman183.jpg
He's lazy because he's not really Batman, he's a crook with no interest in actually fighting crime. The fact that he's not Batman is given away by the fact that he's wearing an out-of-date costume, without the yellow oval behind the bat emblem on his chest.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
Johnny Thunder is not at the table, but he's listed in the roster.
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/Frogmen-sm.jpg
Guesses:
(a) Wow, that's some magenta!
(b) Star-Spangled War Stories (obviously one of the DC war comics, anyway)
(c) Nice cover art, I wish I knew!
(d) Fightin' Navy (since it looks like a Charlton)
dan bailey

(d) Unless they were doing a series based on the Colossal Beast (a.k.a. "The Amazing Colossal Man"), I don't know. It's sure enough based on the look of the character from the two sci-fi flicks of the 50's.
That was my immediate thought as well.
Whoever this guy is, he must not've shown up till I stopped buying Eerie (which decision was prompted in considerable part by all the series strips, none of which I can recall giving any sort of damn about.)

I've changed the Herc question a bit to accept one of two pencillers for Hercules Unbound since the question was a bit subjective.

1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
The only Fox character I am certain of is THE BLUE BEETLE, so I am guessing him.
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
Grasshopper, Hunter, Dax, Coffin
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics Reed Crandall
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound (for this one I'll except two possible artists - as one started on the series (1st 5 issues?), but many people feel it was defined by another penciller. J-L Garcia Lopez, but to my mind the distinction goes to inker Wally Wood.
c) Charlton’s Hercules Sam Glanzman
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
No idea.
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
No idea. :(
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
It must be Johnny Thunder that's not pictured. What I DO recall from repeated viewings of the famous cover is the use of the definite article "the" for every character in the accompanying cover blurb -- "THE Hawkman," "THE Sandman," "THE Green Lantern," THE Hourman" etc.
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
a. Don't know
b. Obviously a DC war comic, but which? Our Fighting Forces, maybe?
c. Looks Atlas-y, but I have no idea.
d. Looks like a Charlton blurb. Charlton had so many "Navy" titles...let's say Fightin' Navy!
Michi
1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
I'll guess Blue Beetle and Green Lama as two of them.
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
A) No clue
B) Hunter
C) Dax the Damned
D) It's their Frankenstein/Patchwork Man character, but I can't think of his name
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics: Lou Fine (?)
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound (for this one I'll except two possible artists - as one started on the series (1st 5 issues?), but many people feel it was defined by another penciller.: Walt Simonson was the first to come to my mind
c) Charlton’s Hercules: Pat Boyette
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
I'm pretty sure it was "uncle" Charlie Biro, and i think it was in Daredevil after the little wize guys took over the book
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
It's not the real Batman--the giveaway is no yellow circle on his chest.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
Is it Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
a) has some nice drawing, and b) is obviously a DC book, but I got nothin'.
At least there weren't any Marvel questions.

1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
Victor "I am the King of Comics!" Fox, was the sleaziest publisher in an industry filled to the brim with not too stellar publishers. Yet due to the hard times, many a great comical creator did work for him. The Big 3 was Sampson (No Doc) The Flame, and the Blue Beetle. I almost put the Green Mask in there, but then remembered the oddball juxtapositioning of Sampson on the early covers in Steranko's History of Comics, thanks to all the Greek/Roman/Norse mythology based questions that follow.
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/eerie-small.jpg
This one hurts because I have at least two of the issues that these covershots were taken from (the middle two) but I can't remember the names for any of them.
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics - I don't think I've ever seen an interior story, but I do have lots of memories for the HIT comics covers done by Lou Fine.
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound - The thing I mainly remember is Wally Wood doing the inking. Lucky for me, I read a Walt Simonson interview just last week, and guess what got mentioned.
c) Charlton’s Hercules - Sam Glanzman.
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
Not a clue. The artist will probably be someone very big and well know to all of us.
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/Batman183.jpg
WHOOT! Talking about playing right into my hand. This was my very first ever Bat-man comical book (and one my earliest super-hero comics to boot!).
Robin recognizes that this guy is bat suit is not the real Bat-man because he's lacking the new-look costume complete with the the yellow oval around the bat symbol on the chest. Robin even takes him to an alternate batcave.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
Another really classic comical book, but I am totally rusty about who is mentioned and who is missing.
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)

1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals) No idea.
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each) No idea.
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics I've only seen the covers , which were by the incomparable Lou Fine.
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound (for this one I'll except two possible artists - as one started on the series (1st 5 issues?), but many people feel it was defined by another penciller. The two pencillers were Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and Walter Simonson; I'm sure Lone Ranger used the word "penciller" repeatedly to avoid Wally Wood's name cropping up as he inked both artists.
c) Charlton’s Hercules I'll guess Pat Boyette.
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each) No idea.
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each) He had been poisoned by the popcorn and soda.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points) Wonder Woman.
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
a. Sea Devils (based on the fact that it looks like Russ Heath)
b. Showcase
c. no idea
d. no idea
I think I've reserved my place at the bottom of the leader board again.

Hi folks - here are the answers.
I'll post the results when I get the chance to calculate them.
OK - I admit, this one was brutally tough but hopefully you enjoyed it, or at least learned something. I know I always learn something when I try to come up with questions.
1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
The Flame, Blue Beetle, Samson (Citizen V replaced Samson for the final ish).
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/Big3.jpg
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/scottandkat/CBR/eerie-small.jpg
Gray Grasshopper, Hunter, Dax the Damned, Coffin
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics - Reed Crandall
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound (for this one I'll except two possible artists - as one started on the series (1st 5 issues?), but many people feel it was defined by another penciller. JG Lopez or Walt Simonson
c) Charlton’s Hercules Sam Glanzman
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
Uncle Charlie's Fables - with Charles Biro playing the role of Uncle
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
Yup - he's a crook who somehow missed out on Julie Schwartz's introduction of the 'New Look' Batman.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
It's Johnny Thunder - and if I am not mistaken, he pretty much joins the JSA in a less than straightforward manner - perhaps linked to his absence from the roundtable.
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)

Wow... very tough indeed. I didn't play this one, because as happened once before to me I accidentally opened the thread at the last entry (as is my normal practice with other threads) and in my confusion got a dose of other answers. I'm sure I would have bombed anyway. BTW... like the "life aquatic" covers.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!
Doh!
I forgot all about this after PMing you a question.
Some people never learn.
Oh, well. Just for the fun of it:
1. Big 3 was a series from Fox - name the original Big 3 characters (150 points each, bonus 150 if you know who replaced one of the originals)
Blue Beetle, Samson and someone else.
2. Name the following characters from Warren's Eerie (a) through (d) left to right. (100 points each)
Sadly, none of these characters is The Rook. I bet one is Frank Thorne's character and another is Zud Kamish or whate'er he was called.
3. You all know that Marvel’s version of Hercules was first penciled by Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery. Name the penciller most closely associated with the following versions of Hercules: (150 points each)
a) Quality Comics’ Hercules from Hit Comics - Lou Fine
b) DC’s Hercules from Hercules Unbound (for this one I'll except two possible artists - as one started on the series (1st 5 issues?), but many people feel it was defined by another penciller. - J. L. Garcia Lopez
c) Charlton’s Hercules - Sam Glanzman
4. In the early 50s, one non-Big Two publisher got a head-start on the man named Uncle bandwagon by publishing a series aimed at young children with one of its artists as host and ‘Uncle’:
What was the name of the series, and who was the ‘Uncle’? (100 points each)
Not a clue what you're going on about here.
5. Ok smart guy - what is the reason for Batman's laziness and what gives it away? (100 points each)
The character almost dressed as Batman on the cover says 'watch myself on television' - he's not Batman, he's a TV actor who plays Batman on the tube. Note also the absence of the moon around his chest emblem.
6. The famous cover to All Star Comics #3 shows 8 heroes sitting around a table, and yet 9 heroes are listed below. Which listed hero is not sitting at the table? (100 points)
Johnny Thunder's thunderbolt?
7. Here’s a tough one. You are likely familiar with Dell’s Frogmen series, but the mask and flipper set had a lot of exposure in the 50s and 60s – name the titles that featured these 4 covers (a) and (b) on the first row – (c) and (d) on the second row (200 points each)
a) U. N. D. E. R. S. E. A. Agent
b) Our Fighting Forces
c) Fightin' Navy
d) Navy Combat
I have my doubts about 7a - it may be a 1950s Red Menace cover, but I can't place the art style.
Oh, well, I can find out now.

Bah! I take a week or so off from the boards (walking pneumonia + mild side effects from new blood pressure medicine + magazine deadlines supposed to be] + stepped-up eBay listing using my wood-burning dial-up access = a pathetic lack of spare time) & this is what I return to?
Actually, I'm pretty pleased -- less than 50 percent of the winner's total ain't so hot, but middle-of-the-pack placement is better than I expected. Though I suppose that says more about how other people did than it does my own prowess ...

Minor correction: V-man didn't have his papers in order yet. Martin Goodman and the lawyers at Timely/Marvel were questioning his legal authority to be declared a citizen.

So take off those slow city-slicker shoes and relax a bit. You deserve it. Besides I like TGuy's quizzes, his sensibilities are so akin to mine when it comes to comical books. (Yea, I'm trying to stack the deck here as much as possible).
I loved this quiz Kimo. It covered a lot of interesting territory, and it is cool that you take the time to add the visual elements. Something I've got embedded in a couple of the quizzes I've got prepared. Now I just need to win one of these things.

While we're waiting for TGuy to put the next real quiz together, here's the World's Easiest quiz. It occurs to me that some of the arcana in our previous quizzes might be off-putting to some visitors. Here's a much easier quiz that still depends on *some* knowledge of Classic Comics. Good luck! Since this is an unofficial quiz, the deadline is short -- please post your answers, if you wish, by Sunday evening May 13 (Mother's Day). I'll put up the answers then. Since this is just for fun, no points. --Michi

Great idea, Michi! As a former champion, I'll refrain from participating...especially since a couple of them have me partially stumped! I've never been good at issue numbers, so the mystery villains' first appearances are beyond me--although I know the series in which one of them debuted. And those humor comics? I can mentally confirm three of them, but the remaining two both look like reasonable titles to me.
I certainly know who wasn't available for Aurora fans to model in the 70's, since that was when I was gluing those pieces together! And I seem to remember having some vague awareness that the absent model or models had once been available, although since we didn't have the internet back then, I don't know how I'd have known that.

There was indeed a Henry Boltinoff. I'm pretty sure he's the guy who drews those hundreds (thousands?) of filler gag strips & "Cap's Hobby Hints" & such in DC for years way back when.
I presume Tom & Rick are the Veitches ... I think there are two Veitches. And if there are, I always sort of confused them with the Deitches, unless I'm imagining that there are or were two Deitches (Kim & ... Craig?).

Craig?).
The other Deitch is Simon, who was credited as a co-writer on Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Their father Gene was also a notable cartoonist.

-jb the ib -Ah, but these are no-points! :)

p.s. Yes, IB, you caught me out. I erased all the point values from the other questions when I decided to do this one "for fun," but neglected the bonus questions. For this, you get...10 points.

And yes, Henry Boltinoff was the artist/writer of cap's Hobby Hints, Super-Turtle, Casey the Cop, Moolah the Mystic, et al. Damn, listing his strips woulda mad a good question to aks when I win another contest sometme in the 22nd century!

I'm astonished that everyone's getting the 70's model kit question wrong! All of you must have been dating or something back then...

Note to self: read questions more carefully. Question 3, bonus 1... of course the creator of Darkseid is Jack Kirby, and yeah, Jim Starlin conceived of Thanos, whom I, as a Marvel kid, actually followed before the King's own arch baddie.

6. Which of these were NOT comics found in 1970's Aurora model kits?
b. Wonder Woman
There were NO woman characters in the 1970's Aurora kits. There was a Wonder Woman model in the 1960's, but by the next decade it was obvious to Aurora that boys bought models, and not many were going to buy models of women superheros. I'm presuming that was the thinking, anyway. Here's a photo of a current eBay listing, wherein someone is selling a complete set of the model kits, including comics, for $1,200. Yow.
