Over the next week, month, year, etc. please post original artwork depicting Julia Carpenter in any of her incarnations!
This art can be new or old and in any medium. If it's an old piece please indicate approximately when it was created. And please feel free to comment on others' work, BUT remember, this isn't art class and all posters are encouraged to participate regardless of talent. Unless specifically asked for negative comments are not appreciated and will be deleted. So have fun and take your time!

A quickie, but a good exercise.

I like that costume design, CotD. Curious as to what colors you intended?
As for me, I haven't drawn any Avengers in years. If/when I draw lately it's usually been for a DMAX thread. I'll have to see what I can do with some of the DMAAs that are already up.
Anyway, here's the only image of mine featuring a Spider-Woman. I was probably 17 when I did this and I'm not too proud of it, but I think it has potential.

That is a very nice piece, matt.
It somehow looks very fluid and energetic.

It looks nice, but I think it should be dark blue. (I know they will say that
traditionally blue is used to "highlight" black, but I still think that means
the REAL color is dark blue.)

Respectfully disagree.
If that was the case -- the only black costumes would be those with no highlights -- like Havok's original costume.
My rule of thumb -- if there is more black than blue -- it's black material. Otherwise ... well, it's dark blue.

Although I am used to thinking of Julia's costume as blue, it IS supposed to be black--it was the inspiration for Spider-Man's black costume, originally.

Here's one I did long ago, using the same pose that I got from a poster that I used for a Mystique I had done...

Julia as the Scarlet Spider... it's not too ridiculous. Be nice on the Mighty Avengers.
