X-23 Target X #5 Summary and Spoilers!!!

It's X-23 Vs Kimura!!!


So after Kimura breaks Laura's neck, she gets one of X-23 hands into adamantium cuffs (and her own hand in the cuffs as well) and brings her to the basement, so that she can watch Megan and her mom die.

X-23 and Kimura fight, but Kimura finally beat her up and starts killing Megan. Then Laura CUTS OFF her hand, getting freed from the cuffs. Now Kimura is the one made prisioner, being tied to a cane by the cuffs. Laura, Megan and Debbie run away, but not before exploding the house. Lots of bodies are found, but not Kimura's.

The three ladies hit the road, and Debbie says to Laura how much her mother, Sarah, loved her and how Laura saved all of them. They hug. It's a cute scene.

Laura gets fake passports to Megan and Debbie and put them on a plane, telling them to keep running. She's staying. It's a sad goodbye, especially between Laura and Megan. Kudos to the art team, the rain really set the tone of this scene.

Finally, X-23 arrives at the X-Mansion. She wants to meet the one who made her.


Really good issue, and I'm glad to see that Megan and Debbie escaped! I hope they reappear somewhere down the line. Poor Laura loses all of her friends.

Can't wait to the conclusion with Wolverine! As always, higly recommended book!

interesting that laura can survive with one of her apendages cut off and is able to reattach it. wasn't logan unable to reatttach his arm in the age of apocolypse timeline.

I know, but I was so sure Kimura was going to kill them. It's just such a relief to see them alive. And well now Kimura is brainwashed to kill the weapon X people and isn't hunting X, so maybe they can eventually meet up.

Another great issue. The wirting and the art have excelled for each issue, it's unbelievable how good this seires is. I hope it wins an award or something.

I am so relieved that Meggan and Debbie are alive too. The tension was so high these last couple of issues and I thought for sure Meggan was going to get the ax.

Laura is just awesome and I can't wait till the next issue. There's going to be some sparring of course with Logan, but I'm anxious to see if we're going to catch a glimpse of any of the Academy X kids in the background.

That would really make my day. :)

I loved this issue! A lot more than the last issue anyway! Beautiful art as always.. I absolutely cannot wait for the conclusion.. I wonder if any XMen will make a cameo 'sides Wolvie.

Wow this actually sounds pretty cool! I might go get the backissues when I get home. I do love Mike Choi, so who knows? I might just become an X-23 fan after all. ;)
