Moon Knight #9 - *SPOILERS*

[Young Avenger]

Another great issue of Moon Knight. Most of the issue consisted of Moony getting his ass kicked by Midnight, the son of Midnight Man. Midnight knows everything about Marc and is hell bent an being his arch nemesis. Punisher only shows up in the last page which I found disappointing.

The new artist is great. Keeps the look and atmosphere the same as when David Finch was on the book.

I really didnt like this issue at all. I am familiar from Midnight from the Round Robin story in Amazing Spiderman a few years back. Did he appear anywhere after that? I think what is bugging me is this seems to be the current main villain of the arc and Midnight just happens to waltz in lade da. I mean he could have waltzed in 3 issues ago. Also unless I was mistaken Moon Knight felt guilty for what ended up happening to Midnight. He didnt have this oh he got what he deserved attitude. I liked the art. I'm not too crazy about the emphasis on that other characters sexuality. I'm needing to trim books depending on how next issue goes will depend on whether I continue with this title. Also all the talking in the book was boring and just blahh. I'm wanting more dialog in the Moon Knight outfit and less Marc Spector not in costume talking.

The issue was kinda mediocre, but I could accept that we're still in a "setting up"-phase. (Altough things really should be on their way in the ninth issue...)

But the Punisher guest appearence made me laugh out loud. Seriously, Marvel, enough with the misleading solicitations already.:(

The new artist is great. Keeps the look and atmosphere the same as when David Finch was on the book.:confused: Maybe he keeps the same atmosphere, new artist is good but he's no David Finch in look(Who is? Ha!).

I like the new artist. It does not feel too much different. I really enjoyed it, but the apperence of Punisher was a letdown.

I'm glad Moonknight's current issue's did'nt get too Civil War focus but more on the character. I liked this issue as well, it's not the best but good overall, and I thought the midnight guy died a long time ago in Amazing spider-man:confused:

Frenchie's partner looks to be a fun potential assistence like Frenchie was to Marc. But he seem's to be a horrible side kick if they did make him one. Well at least he's the annoying comedy relief for the book. Midnighter is just as brutal if not worse than how he appeared back in Amazing spider-man. I thought Spector still was guilt ridden but considering Midnight was being a persistent pest, I can see why MK would be fed up with him and take off the gloves. Hope to see him again next issue.

Like the art btw, I did'nt even notice that it was Finch at all.
