I'm also psyched about the New Warriors member, but it just goes to show it's only a matter of time before everyone killed by Nitro is back

A great month but I somehow appear on average, to be 6 or 7 books lighter! YAY! This past year has killed my wallet.
I was worried I wouldn't be able to add Thor to my pull list but I will now.

I'm pissed that there's no Runaways.

Due to Gargons being likeable as venom, I feel Marvel used the opportunity and chance of a symbiote invasion in Mighty Avengers and have one bond with Brock just in time for Sensational spider-man. Two venom's there :evilsmile
Can someone tell me why Thunderbolts is starting from issue 1? Is Paul Jenkins worthy of writing the team?
Oh ya almost forgot, Fantastic four taking on thier zombie counter parts....interesting and a way for marvel for definetly showing of a possible crossover between Ultimate and 616.

For me:
1. Captain America #28 - Looks like fun; Sin keeps reminding me of an evil Anne Shirley.
2. Mighty Avengers #5 - Certainly some crazy stuff happening there.
3. New Avengers: Illuminati #4 - I absolutely love that cover; the five ladies mirroring the members of the Illuminati on #1.
4. Omega Flight #4 - Looks good.
5. Astonishing X-Men #22 - Honestly, does anyone really care anymore?
6. Uncanny X-Men #488 - I imagine Charles is going to find Magneto.
7. New X-Men #40 - Things aren't looking good for Pixie.
8. Deadpool/GLI - Summer Fun Spectacular #1 - Awesome. I have everything Slott's written about the GLA/X/C/I.

ASTONISHING X-MEN #22
OMEGA FLIGHT #4 (of 5)
CABLE & DEADPOOL #43
THE CHAMPIONS #1
And of course, RUNAWAYS would make the list as well. But where is it? :(
Maybes:
WOLVERINE #55 - is this the conclusion, now? If so, I'll probably get it.
NEW X-MEN #40 - first part of the arc was flawless. If the book continues in that direction, this often terrible book will get a pick up.
UNCANNY X-MEN #488 - Uncanny X-Men has been boring, but a good start on a new arc could get me back into the series.
SHE-HULK #21 - great premise, but I've never been familiar with the character or the book. Hopefully something will click here.
AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #4 - really disappointed with the first issue, but I love teen heroes! Hopefully I won't have to drop it before July comes.

No issue of newuniversal for the second month in a row, and no collection of the first six issues either. Plus Larocca is doing art for Uncanny X-Men instead.
So, what is going on with newuniversal?

I was wondering the same thing. Thought it was an ongoing series. Issue 6 can't wrap all the plot elements introduced in 1-5.

If and when it does, the first you hear about it won't be in the solicits.
Jim Cheung has an issue of NA: Illuminati to go after this, which will be in September (assuming no delays). That's the earliest he can start working on it (assuming Heinberg has produced anything for him to draw by that point).

If that issue doesn't star Shang Chi, it'll be a total missed opportunity.

That'd be cool man. Iron Fist vs. Shang-Chi would make for a sweet match up, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I agree. There's no way it can conclude much of anything. Especially since # 5 spent about half the issue leisurely introducing a new character. Which is fine, but it implies there was clearly no hurry to wrap up a story by the end of # 6.

What's is really sad are the amount of Marvel comics I don't buy anymore. I used to buy tons of them!
Why have a Captain America series if he's dead? Just end it already.
Champions, Omega Flight, New Warriors (aren't they all dead), About four different Avengers title. I'm sure one of those is good, but I don't see a new Thunderbolts surprise in 'em. Oh, and Thunderbolts.
Spider-man: So messed up I don't even know who this guy is anymore. I don't care who dies<--- That's sad. Maybe Magic Spidey can magically bring her back to life?:evilsmile
Uncanny X-men ALways good.
World War Hulk: Give peace a chance.
Fantastic Four: Last issue was pretty good.
Halo? That's a video game right. I'm still waiting for the Donkey Kong: Mario's Last Hunt graphic Novel.
I'd say about six comics I'll be checking out of that list. Maybe that Captain America Stern/Byrne thing.

Hm. There is not a whole lot there that that I "can't wait" to be collected in tpb (mainly Nova and Iron Fist). While I am interested in WWH, I think I will wait and see how it goes before deciding whether to buy it or not. Though Hulk smashing the Iron/Marvel Earth is pretty appealing. This might be the month I use to buy the SMLMJ hardcover, which I have heard good things about. Or possibly Annihilation Vol. 2.
Galactic war epics and intersteller heroes vs. high-school superhero meladrama and street-level kung fu action. My reading lists are kinda odd.
