theres a story in the batman featuring two face and the riddler collection called when is a door? its part of that whole secret origins thing.
Its basically about a kind of washed up riddler coming back and reminiscing about what seems to be the golden/silver age. INteresting paralells in there reflecting peoples love of the campy batman...anyway, the character I realised recently obviously has to be based on Frank Gorshin from the 60s tv series. I reckon it would be really cool if they got him back and they adaptedt his into a short or something. Obviously it would never happen, but I think it would be a great curiosity piece.
Thoughts?

Edit:
hes dead. never mind, do respond.

I met Frank Gorshin once and took a picture with him.

Frank Gorshin ROCKS. No doubt, the greatest and ONLY Riddler, IMHO

Frank was awesome, and even though the show was campy, he really wasn't, he was over the top but yet the way he would go from giggling to that serious tone was so beautifully Psychotic!

Frank was THE Riddler and nobody has managed to improve on it yet.

Also, the When is a dor story was excellent and really seemed to fit the Gorshin style and perhaps because of that, it's also one of my favorite Riddler stories.

yea, its almost a cut-down to Frank when Jim Carrey said he studied Gorshin for the role of The Riddler in Batman Forever. I don't feel he got anywhere near it. Jim Carrey is just too....umm...retarded for my tastes, but some people seemed to have loved him. I just don't think he should have ever compared himself to the late and great Frank Gorshin.
