Mr. Sexton has obviously put much effort and thought into this little mystical showcase of the Marvel U. This looks like a refreshingly different read from the House of Ideas.

Sounds great, can't wait to pick it up. Nice to see Louise Simonson and Roy Thomas working with Marvel again. And Jeff Parker is always good. And the two Handbooks sound like must buys as well. :)

This sounds really great.
And those covers are simply beautiful.
I'm getting it for those alone!

Wow ! This sounds pretty darned good. One thing that hurts the mystical is how there are no boundaries. We as readers don't know exactly what is and is not possible. What are the rules ? DC has the same situation but is redefining those rules with Infinite Crisis.
Back in the day, some of those Dr Strange tales were the best, esp by Ditko.
I'm very intrigued and impressed. Hopefully the stories themselves will carry through the momentum.
I like this, for two reasons: one, I'm glad that Marvel still publishes books that aren't tainted by the whole Civil War/SHRA thing. But more importantly, I like the fact this series is constructive, as opposed to destructive- Sexton is building upon Marvel's magical legacy, adding new things without denying or ruining what was there before. Anybody can write stories tearing down existing characters or concepts; it takes talent to ADD to them. I like the idea of the First Tarot, as well as seeing glimpses of old Marvel magical characters like Illyana and Black Knight. I'm looking forth to this series.

I wonder if there are plans to reprint that Marvel Fanfare story outside of a potential Mystic Arcana paperback down the road. It would be cool if that story was a backup feature in the second "Handbook" mentioned in the article.
