Nights: Journey Into Dreams (http://wii.ign.com/objects/873/873984.html)

I will get a Wii JUST FOR THIS GAME. I loved the original Nights so much. The music and the gameplay was just...excellent. I thought I'd NEVER see a sequel. Better late than never.

I never played the original one, but my girlfriend did, and she is super pumped for the sequel. Now all we have to do is track down a Wii so we'll be able to play it when it comes out.

Nights is old school,i can imagine copies will sell..mainly because older gamers played the original.

Since the sequel is appearing on the Wii I would love to see the original appear on virtual console.

Some memories from the original NiGHTS...

*That rollercoaster stage was the hardest in the whole game, making it my least favorite. You had to get all As on each level to get the different ending theme (its just sung by adults instead of children), and that one gave me the most trouble.

*The boss fights were spectacular. They all had patterns, and I remember the hardest pattern to learn was the cat boss. In fact I think I beat him with sheer luck.

*Wizeman! He was like half boss, half stage, so it was like you were fighting (or withstanding) a stage. He was a great final boss and I hope he pops up in the sequel.

*The A-Life system. It originated here, and was carried over into the Dreamcast's two Sonic Adventure games. Basically you could "raise" those blue things that came out of eggs. They were always doing SOMETHING funny or bizarre, but the thing is you couldn't really stop and see what exactly (or "breed" them like various FAQs said you could) cause you were timed. True, you could have done just that after you beat the game, but it seemed like too much trouble. Interesting concept, though.

*The sheer excitement of going through those rings of rings and busting those gigantic blue egg things.

I'm gonna have to hook up the Saturn and play this again...

This made me tear up a little. (http://www.n-philes.com/games/WII/WII_nights/magazinescan1.jpg)

It IS reality. And this fall? Kinda soon. Sigh. Better start saving up for a Wii now.

Ugh, Nights is the most overrated game ever.

I remember buying a saturn a year or so ago so I can finally play some of the great games I missed when it first came out and nights was one of them and what a waste of money that was.
