My comic shop is 80 miles away and with gas costing almost $4.00 a gallon in California, I do not go to my shop except maybe once a month. Coupled with the fact that people drive like idiots on California highways, it's getting scary and expensive to drive there.
That said, my shop does not get preview copies. But I would read it in a heartbeat. Why wouldn't I? Shoot, why wouldn't you? I would still purchase three copies of the first issue and two copies of everyone else. Even with Annihilation I bought two copies of each and the first Annihilation hardcover. I am hard core!
If it was up to me, a fan would not have to wait a whole month. My job is dangerous. I am a law enforcement officer who also performs search and rock rescue duties quite often. It's really a dangerous job. I WANT TO SEE THIS BOOK BEFORE I FALL OFF A FREAKING ROCK!

No, I couldn't. Wednesday was the worst day of my cold and I could barely stand on my two feet for a long period of time. I just grabbed my comics and got out of the shop.
But I'll probably be picking it up on Wednesday, if I'm not too bogged down with homework then.

Agreed. No spoilers for Nova or anything during Conquest. I know this was an issue during Annihilation, and it can be hard especially as other Boards I frequent do not have the same policy or enforce it as you can often finds scans of entire issues weeks before they're due out. Its hard, and unfortunately not everyone can resist. I know I haven't. Its the same with TV programmes. Here in the UK, Doctor Who season 3 has started and already we're getting spoilers in the newspapers about how the Season will end, not due to end of June! Its's annoying when you know what's coming! Sometimes the internet can be an absolute pain...

Hey Hey Jimmy! Today's the day! Are you still excited? (Or more importantly: do you have it yet?)
I'll probably be getting it later in the day, maybe.

Nope! My car's in the shop, so I gotta wait. Believe it or not, I used to have a comic shop in town, but the owner died inside the comic store.
Just gotta wait until my cars out. Hope you get it soon. If you do, tell it's good.
Still dying here,
Jimmy
Perhaps a 'Nova Fans Support Group' should be formed ;)

I agree. At least so we can help keep this series going. I love talking all things Nova.

I hope you all enjoy getting your copy of issue 1; sadly for me I won't see it for real till Saturday as I work during the week in a very time-consuming job but am itching to get ahold of it. I just hope the issue goes down well and gets a good initial sales run; however you have to admit that as issue 1 of Nova series go this run has had far more attention and respect that any previous run. Saw the sketchbook at Wizard (see other thread); really good. Have collected a few myself off the net as I regularly visit comicfanart.com as there's a number of fan sketches of Nova there. As soon as my workload dies down a bit I'm going to do one of my very special artworks to act as my contribution to the launch of Vol. 4. As yes a Nova fan club, good idea though will point out that there is a Nova Yahoo group in existance via NovaPrimePage.com; the definitive fan support site for all things Nova. But yeah, go for it. I think Rich is in for a lot of support this time around.
