Sorry if this has been hashed out in other places (which is likely has but I was too lazy to go back more than a few pages), buuuuuuuuuuuuttt I've recently got into buying 52. I know, I know, a little late in the process. And that's part of my problem which I'm hoping someone can help me with.

Never been an outwardly avid DC collector, but I get my favorites on a regular basis (Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Justice League). But outside of that I'm a little lost.

As I'm muddling my way through 52, I have no clue how the likes of the Big Three were brought back. In their individual books do they explain where they went and why? Or is that something I should expect by the end of 52? (being I'm on issue #20). Also I read Indentity Crisis and all that jazz over the past couple years but I honestly don't remember much of how it all ended since it's been a while back now. For example, I have no idea why it's pertinent to follow Animal Man/Starfire/Adam Strange and why this was a big deal at the end of Crisis. Forgive me on my forgetfullness on that part.

I have to admit I really like this, and I'm going to give the next weekly a shot from the beginning; but because I didn't pay close enough attention it's become distracting to the title.

I think we're wondering the same things, too (we being the regular readers of 52). Apparently, Buddy, Starfire, and Adam saw something in space at the end of Infinite Crisis. Also, 52 is sort of showing where the Big Three were during the missing year: Batman was off training, following his original path that made him Batman; Superman was powerless and working as Clark Kent; and Wonder Woman was "finding herself."
