Kojima still is the creator and have NOT sold the rights of the mgs franchise. konami cannot publish anything without his concent. I clearly mention the copyrights laws involved.

Like I said in the other thread. US Code Collection Title 17 Chapter 2 § 201: "Ownership of copyright" tells us what is meant by the "creator" of the work (in this case MGS):


b) Works Made for Hire.— In the case of a work made for hire, the employer or other person for whom the work was prepared is considered the author for purposes of this title, and, unless the parties have expressly agreed otherwise in a written instrument signed by them, owns all of the rights comprised in the copyright.

Since Hideo is under the employ of Konami, the work created by him (MGS) is -for the purpose of copyright law- the property of Konami, not Hideo Kojima. It doesn't matter whether or not Mr Kojima wants the game to remain on the PS3, the final decision will be made by the Board of Directors of Konami, just as the shareholders intended. Do you think Marvel has to go begging to Stan Lee every time they put out a new comic?

That's just wrong, he never owned the rights to MGS in the first place, and you can not sell that which you do not own. A broken clock is normally right at least twice a day, but that's still 2 ahead of you at the moment.

No, you just say "Copyright laws!" and expect people to believe you. You haven't cited the relevant legal authority, you haven't gave me any references to copyright cases or legal statute, you've done nothing but make stuff up since day one, and people are getting really tired of your nonsense.

David Jaffe came up with God of War and Twisted Metal. You think he owns those? Shinji Mikami's in charge of Resident Evil, you think he owns those? You think the writers who create characters for Marvel or DC own them? He can't sell the rights to MGS because he doesn't own them. Seriously...do you ever talk about anything else?

You know, I'm getting really sick and tired of some of the postings here on the Games board. Yes, the OP has been unduly aggressive with is posts. Yes, it took a while for appropriate action to take place (I can't have someone banned directly - I can only make note to the other mods, and wait for a admin or supermod to take appropriate action). None of that is an excuse for the rest of you to lower yourselves to that level. This is a place where the discussions should be fun and enjoyable; we're talking about games here, after all.
