It's a nice week to be a DC fan, even if you don't need three different covers for a single Justice League issue. Fans of Absolute Editions will no doubt be refinancing their home mortgages to own the new Long Halloween volume. Meanwhile, Paul Dini's amazing run on Detective Comics is finally getting the trade paperback treatment, and a very necessary Showcase Presents volume featuring the classic Legion of Superheroes is hitting the shelves as well.

Speaking of the Legion, this new Supergirl and the Legion arc sounds very promising. I'm wondering if it's time to start reading again...

52 #48--thank the Maker--it's almost over! This thing is like unto a bloody trainwreck which one cannot help but to look at...)

JLA #7-- I hear the Legion of Superheroes are gonna be in this one, but they look like the LSH from several reboots ago, if Starman Dawnstar, and Dream Girl are any indication.

Supergirl...blah. The only thing I'm glad of is that Churchill is finally off the book. Now if we can get the Joe Kelly(or whatever the writer's name is) exiled into the Bleed as well, I'll be happy. Why not put Gail Simone or Devin Grayson(who is hot as hell, by the way--where has she been lately??) on the book?

All New Atom doesn't get me there.

I'll probably pick up the showcase LOS eventually, but I'm in no big hurry. I might pick that one up too. Waid's LSH turns my stomach. Can't wait for new blood on this book!
