I love the writer but it's all still a little too vague to know whether I'm excited about the book or not.

Hmm. Milligan's one of my favourite writers, but he really needs free rein to do his own thing on a book. If he has to work within the standard superhero template, he's pretty bland.
We shall see, I suppose. It's probably worth a couple of issues, anyway.

I truly hope he doesn't kill of Steel the first issue. Seems DC is killing off all my favorite characters for the last couple years:(

Well, they've got a pretty strong set-up right now. Steel's reopened Steelworks (why couldn't that be the title?), Kala's on board as his assistant/first love interest he's had in a long time, and there's Everyman Project fallout they can take care of, which means the possibility of a rotating roster with some new faces, masks, and capes, instead of just new faces in old costumes.

Milligan is my favorite comic writer.. Loved skreemer, rogan gosh, enigma etc. etc. So obviously i'm excited he's got new stuff cooking. The stuff coming from wildstorm and vertigo i'd like to know more about though.
Milligan's at his best when he's crafting a completely orignal tale, true. But he has worked well with established characters before as well. The issues of batman he did are awesome.

Milligan's good at certain things but his run on X-Men was horrid Blood of Apocalypse was so bad it beggers believe that it ever got approved though I'm not going to damn him for one lously run on the X-Men no less so I'll see how this is before making any rash judgements.

Damn right! I'm not sure I can see Infinity Inc being such a good fit for him though. They need to get him back on Batman doing those fantastic single issue stories again!

His beyond horrible X-Men run hurt his standings severly in my eyes. I mean it wasn't just a bad story here and there, but a constantly bad run that lasted years. It was probaly the worst run of X-Men ever, and that is saying a whole lot.
I think I will take a wait and see on this book. If the old Milligan shows up then I might get the book latter, but if it's "X-Men" Milligan that shows up then not a chance.

Yeah, but couldn't the fact that those were X-Men comics have something to do with them being so horrible?
