I see that it's a game based off the 2008 Beijing Olympics. May not be Super Smash Bros. Brawl (they did ask about this in the article), but hey, I gotta admit, this sounds cool. Can't wait for the official images.

"Mario & Sonic at the Olympics" is the tenative title of the game in case you wanted to know.

This release is so close to April first that I have my doubts that it's true. Of course the fact that I don't have a wii, and have no plans to get one, means it dosn't make any difference to me.

It's IGN, not Electronics Gaming Monthy. For the latter, I'm so believing that "Mushroom Kingdom Hearts" is a big lie. However, this one is 100% true, since it's also on Nintendo & Sega's websites.

But there's also swimming involved! It's common fan belief that Sonic is an aquaphobe (though his recent game "The Secret Rings" debunks it).

All I know is thst Shadow is going to beat Wario's ass in the motorbike and rival department. No doubt, he'll make the game ten times cooler than Sonic will.

And the Yoshi vs. Tails event is going to be immortal.

Ok so my list of things I never thought I'd see gets smaller and smaller by the day.....

The WWF bought WCW.

Bucky Barnes and Jason Todd are both alive, well, and still into domino masks.

Aliens fought Predator.

Freddy fought Jason.

And I've seen Ra's Al Ghul played by a real live person in a blockbuster movie.





And now, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario are gonna race in the 2008 Bejing Olympics.

I mean really, could you imagine getting a time machine and talking to yourself at 8? I'd blow my mind! I don't even think eight year old me would be able to believe that Nintendo totally "won" by outlasting their rival and that sega doesn't even make consoles anymore. When I was a kid, Sega seemed as stable and strong a company as Burger King.
