According to the commercials on Adult Swim, this Sunday at 10 pm we're going to get to see the Aqua Teen movie for free.

What could possibly be the strategy here? It's not like it's a movie that has a wide appeal, they have to know that a lot of people(me) aren't going to pay 10 bucks for something that they might not have even paid ten bucks for anyway if they can get it for free.

So what gives? Cartoon Network giving up on it because of the Boston thing? Am I just missing something?

If this really goes through, I suspect that it will be heavily edited, cutting down the run time. The movie gained an R rating, so something's gotta give.

Also, you do realize this Sunday is April 1st. April Fool's Day. Hint hint.

It's Adult Swim. Of course it's an April Fool's joke.

You know, I paid literally no attention to what Sunday's date was. Of course that's what they're doing, lol.

The usual Sunday lineup. Unless they really want to be bastards and give us a Fish Police marathon. Or they can be awesome bastards and give us a Metalocalypse marathon with a side order of Venture Brothers.

That's just harsh, man. Throw in Smoking Gun along with the majority of the current Sunday lineup, you've got Crapapalooza.

I don't even know what's on Sundays anymore. Once Saul the Moleman and the Tim and Eric show started, I bailed. I tried Frisky Dingo, but couldn't take it (though others enjoy it; I just couldn't get into it).

frisky dingo picks up when they stop focusing on just one charcter

which episode 3, when they two stories join.

Assy is the only show from the newer crop that I actually enjoy.

Sorry. An ass that talks like Sylvester Stallone, acts like Dirty Harry and lives in a world where nobdoy even seems to notice or being bothered by it is funny to me. Real funny, if I may be blunt.

Tim and Eric though.....I vomit at the TV when those shows are on.

Seconded. If they really put a marathon of those two jerkoffs on instead, that'll be as bad as when South Park did that Terrence and Phillip thing instead of revealing who Cartman's mother was.

One of their bumpers. Two hours of "I can't believe you actually fell for that!"

Oh, no you didnt. You did NOT just smack on Not Without My Anus. That thing was fantastic. It was one of the most hilarious episodes theyve ever done.

Meh, I was never a fan of the terrence and philip stuff. I could tolerate it in small doses, but IMHO it wasn't a funny enough concept to merit getting a full 1/2 hour episode.

It wasn't that I was upset about not getting to find out who Cartman's dad was, it's just that South Park>Terrence and Phillip to me, so why would I be happy about getting screwed out of a south park episode?

I sure the hell hope they have something good and just not something crappy. I also one them to flip the bird to Boston and its Mayor and that whole fiasco. Hell, they could just make up new Aqua Teen episodes and show them instead of the movie. Maybe they could even visit Boston in these hypotehtical episodes.

Did anyone with a big screen TV happen to catch the movie last night?
My TV is a pretty decent size and I tried to see as much as I could. The only thing I noticed was Dr. Weird is in the film. He gets naked and then he explodes
