Whatever Happened To Halo?

Whatever happened to Halo from the original Batman and the Outsiders and Outsiders series? I always thought she was a great character - cool name and costume and interesting powers. Was she killed off or is there a chance she will return? I'd love to see her in the current Outsiders or Birds of Prey... DC can always use more quality female characters so I wish they would bring her back. Anyone know where her last appearance was?

I didn't catch that - did she have the blonde hair or black?

She was back in her blonde hair, younger body. She had the same body during Infinite Crisis where she also showed up.

Thanks for clearing this up! I've been holding off on reading 52 until the TPB comes out. In preparation, my son and I went back and were reading COIE, in which she is featured fairly prominently. I remember buying all those Batman & Outsiders issues and upon my return last year I was surprised to see that Katana was still in action, but wondered what happened to Halo. I assumed she must be dead as well. Thanks Jack, you are the source of all knowledge.

cool, never heard or noticed her in 52, and i have all the issues of 52!

goes to show, i must re-read 52 again!, then again, we can't remember everybody in the series, lots of characters......

Wow, I have been reading 52 and totally missed that cameo too. Kind of a waste of a good character... I have been hoping for her return since we have seen more activity from Geo-Force, Katana and Black Lightning lately. I hope the next time a writer or editor wants to use a female character they think of Halo before coming up with a female version of Hourman or the Atom or something uninspired like that.

I miss the original Outsiders... Hey DC, Use Halo... Give katana her original costume back.... keep BL and Geo-Force in the JLA but Give Black Lightning his hair back (and give the Spectre a shave while you are at it!)

Hey Silverager -- I think you've just been officially nominated as DC's official fashion consultant and groomer. I kind of like Black Lightning without the hair, but I agree -- Spectre needs a shave. Hmm, can you shave a ghost?:confused:
