Im sure this has been mentioned before in forums about who Nightwing could possibly date and im all for Powergirl. In fact i would even put him in Justice Society along wit her. Anyone wit me?
Kind of as a sexy "World's Finest" team?
I wouldn't put Nightwing in the JSA mind you, but the rest of the idea sounds like fun.
By the way, welcome to the forums.

Im with Rick as a Worlds Finest Team issue that could work since i see both Nightwing and Powergirl not used to their uptmost potential even tho Powergirl as chairwoman of the JSA is a start for me.
Maybe down the line id like to see it but right now im more focused on Marv and Jamal building up Nightwing into a top title which so far I say they have been doing so far. Brief flirtations would be fine but I think the last thing Nightwing needs now is yet another relationship especially if he was as needy as he was wit Oracle. But thats just me lol
I used to be a huge advocate of him and Black Canary. But PG is fine...she looks nice, but apart from her run in the newest Supergirl. I'm not that familiar with the character. I keep hearing that she's your prototypical 'angry' woman, but I haven't see it.
I would really like to see Dick with a woman who likes him for himself, who is supportive and has her own life. Nightwing has always seemed to me like a cooler and more confident version of Peter 'Spiderman' Parker. So I think he should have his own version of 'Mary Jane'. In short I want to see him with the 'sexy girl next door'. Hence my reference to BC.
I never liked him with Oracle, I think that Dixon forced that relationship. Most of the time she was frigid and I really think that given the way that Dixon was writing Nightwing. Dick really should have thrown up his hands and said 'forget this'.

Black Canary is a great choice too, I never thought about her. Power girl is my number one choice but I could go with BC as a strong number 2.
Mia are you and Lauren Guerra actually girls or you guys as screen names. just curious cause I dont find many girls who are big comic book fans as I am on many forums i visit and as a single guy im just throwing it out there wondering wassup.

Oh and Lauren since we both new members in March we should talk sometime and seem to kno nightwing trivia again just trying to holla

Prior to Gail Simone taking over BOP many readers put forth the possibility of NW and BC being a couple. However Mrs. Simone torpedoed that because she said it would interfere with the relationship between Oracle and Canary who were on the same team. However now that Canary is no longer part of BOP, it would be nice to see that happen again. Dick really deserves a good stable woman who wants him for himself...and who can stand on her own two feet.

I'm not a girl. I'm all woman.:D I've been collecting comic books for 18 years now. We're out there. But frankly I don't think that many of the female characters appeal to your average woman. And of course there's the stigma that comes along with reading comic books. I'm a James Bond fan too and tend to admire very strong, ambitious and feminine women. So comic books give me ample opportunity to read about these kind of women. I also have a hard time sticking with fiction. So it's easier to read comic books in serialized form.

haha was that an attempt at a pick up line Orion lol. I can pretty much echo what Mia said even tho in my case I balance modeling and trying to get any acting part I can with my love of comic books. My dream would be to appear in any sort of comic book related movie, especially if there was ever a Nightwing movie. I would guarantee I would have some part in the movie even if it was in the background somewhere while Dick Pines over Baraba (god I hope not). So yes we are out there even tho i would prolly not post your intentions of talking with someone on a post u do see private messages right, just a food for thought.
On that note I think I would like a Nightwing/Flamebird Pairing not for dating or anything but as a fun team up for later issues.

Nightwing belongs to either Kory or Babs (depends on my state of mind).
I prefer Powergirl with a meta who won´t be obliterated if she sneezes.

Powergirl and Nightwing? Wha? I'm rahter not seeing it. How is this anything but a superficial pairing of two popular characters? What in their characters make them good for each other? They don't even really hang out in the same circles.
Eh. I'm biased as a longtime Nightwing fan. He's already got Babs Gordon, Kory/Starfire, and Helena/Huntress as ex girlfriends (the first two of them as ex-fiancees!). I could see him starting up with them before Powergirl. Then again, seeing Mia's avatar, I'm reminded I want to see Huntress and Question in the regular comics. (He's.. just resting..)
As for Powergirl, I honestly don't know much about her. Mainly seen her cameo in Birds of Prey and then in that JSA Classified she started in before this last Crisis. Then again, her history is rather... muddled.

I like that parring as a team and it makes so much sense all at once. Doesn't need to be all the time, just maybe just a single issue. Think it would be cool.
And for all you ladies out on this forum, holla at ya boy

I actually feel sorry for Dick.
Knowing Karen the way I do, he´d become her boy-toy two seconds going in:
"- Fetch me some oreos, bitch-boy!"
"- What´s the magic word?"
"- NOW!"

You know, on second thought, I´d like to see that pairing. :D

It IS a cool, alternate take on "World's Finest", I admit...but as far as a relationship with a meta? I'll always root for Nightwing + Starfire.

Dick is too fragile for PG. Babs will always be Dick's girl though she is older than Dick.

how old is BC and how old is Nightwing? Won't heads asplode when BC talks about Roy Harper being like son to her and then nightwing says "hey roy and I are the same age"

Dick should be w/ Kory. Period. Nothing against Powergirl, but Dick is too strong a guy to be w/ someone like her. Kory is physically stronger than Dick, but never treated him like less of a man. I don't think Powergirl could do that.
That doesn't mean Dick needs to be coddled, but some women don't know how to be assertive w/o putting someone down. WW does it effortlessly, Kory was able to do it for Dick, I just can't see PG acting that mature.

dick and kory haven't been together since what, the late 80s? I think the love triangle aspect of dick, kory and babs would be great and it is something missing from the current run. I would like to see what attracts him to two seeming opposite women.

80s our time, for them I don't think it's been longer than maybe 5 yrs, also, I beleive they were engaged. Both still speak of each other in a more than positive light. I think she's much better for Dick than just about anybody, hell, I thought Babs treated him like she was doing him a favor.

i think it is a moot point because I don't think Kory isN'T going to make it out of 52 alive.

I don't think the Nightwing/ Black Canary pair-up is very likely in light of what happens in the final issue of Green Arrow.
Green Arrow proposes to Black Canary. I believe this is then to be followed by a new GA/BC series.

If by "together" you mean dating, then you're possibly right. But they were still sleeping together again before the OYL jump, in Outsiders.

I think that Dick is 25 or 26. I'm guessing that Dinah is around the same age as Oracle, whom I peg at being 28 or 29.

It's a figure of speech and nothing to do with age. I think BC thinks of Roy as her 'son' because she nursed him back to to health after his drug binges.
Not to mention that Roy is extreemely immature. From what I've read of the character he has the mentality and maturity of a 15 year old boy. He's an overgrown child.

hm. roy was GA teenage sidekick and now he is in his mid 20s and BC hasn't aged at all (neither has GA)

I like to think of GA, BC, BM,etc all in there mid to late 30s. About 10yrs older than their wards. Now 10yrs isn't an insurmountable age difference, just different enough to make it interesting. BC and Nightwing could work, Nightwing is mature, he just likes to keep it light, WHEN HE CAN.
And BC def keeps up w/ the regularly sched maintenence, so I could see the attraction, Dick could give Stella her groove back for real, he is a gymnast after all.

I'd rather see Dick back with Barbara, but every writer and editor in the world seems dead-set against that ever happening again. And while I like Kory and thought her and Dick worked well as a couple, why go back to one safety when you can't go back to another?
I think Dick and Karen would make perfect sense as a couple. One's "Batman's son," the other's "Superman's daughter." They're both authentic originals (kinda', meaning they both belong to the original DCU, Earth-2, even if Power Girl was introduced after Supergirl). And they're both leader-types. They'd work well together.

Sorry but I disagree.
You can´t pair two people on the base of who "raised" them.
"My "dad" was a symbol, your "dad" was a symbol, so I think we´re good for each other."
What kinda reasoning is that?
These people are so wrong for each other it makes my teeth cringe.
Dick´s personality would get Karen punching mountains like a maniac two days going in.
I really like Nightwing (moreso than Bats) and I can see him getting the Tarantula treeatment from her on a daily basis.
Rape him? Karen would destroy him.
Personally, the only person I think would be able to keep up with her and keep the relationshiop interesting her is Guy.
It´d be like giving a bottle of nitroglycerin to a person with the shakes!
She´d mash that face into a pulp five times a day before their usual addictive session of wild sex. :D

I'm against it too, but I do point out, Starfire is super strong as well and he seemed to survive the smash pretty well.
Makes you wonder though, if you had to go, that wouldn't be a bad way.

You´´re right, Kory IS superstrong and a beast in her own right.
Her personality, however, blends well with Dick because she has that gentle princess thing going on (when she´s not in rage mode, that is).
The whole "planet of love" thing also makes her easier to deal with and easygoing.
PG is the complete opposite, whichever guy gets the little straw will end up having to defuse powder kegs on a daily basis.
Now don´t get me wrong, I LOVE Karen, she´s on my top 3 favorite DC heroes and heroines and I wouldn´t have her any other way.
Burt she IS a feisty, walking headache.
Whoever she ends upo with will either be the ultimate Whipped boy-toy or the most horrible troll in the history of creation.
