anybody knows of the website of this new series?
cast who will provide voices include:
Nolan North is going from one mutant to another.
North, who is playing Raphael in the Friday-opening TMNT, is providing the voice of Cyclops in the upcoming Wolverine and the X-Men animated series.
Voice recording of the series recently began. Twenty-six episodes are being produced, although the show hasn't found a network home yet.
North is familiar with the Marvel world of animation, having provided the voice of Hank Pym/Giant-Man in both Ultimate Avengers movies.
In other Wolverine and the X-Men news:
* Boyd Kirkland has joined the series as supervising director and co-producer. Kirkland's many credits include Batman: The Animated Series, Batman and Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero and X-Men: Evolution.
* Liam O'Brien is providing the voices of Nightcrawler and Angel. He is perhaps best known as Gaara of the Desert on Naruto.
Also:
Danielle Judovits, who provides the voice of Batgirl in Kids' WB!'s The Batman, is providing the voice of Shadowcat in the upcoming Wolverine and the X-Men animated series.
wow, wolverine's popularity is getting way out of hand IMO, its like the the rest of the xmen will be just supporting characters or something...oh well cant wait to watch this....

YES, god I hated that title. Why didn't they just call it Spider-man. Well no that doesn't really count I think. Those characters were being introduced. The title was too long. "Spider-man and his amazing friends, Iceman and Firestar."

Here's what I dug up on imdb. It's a tentative list of characters and voice actors. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0772145/)
And I dug up that link to imdb from this thread (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=156635&page=9) at ToonZone. :D (I used to post there when it went by Animation Insider. )
Blink, I think you'll get a kick out of the voice actor's name who plays Rogue. :p
Can't find the main site for the production company yet, but I believe it was First Serve Toonz, a company based in India...
I think I'll take a wait-and-see approach to this series... I didn't think I'd like X-Men:Evolution, but I ended up liking it a whole lot. :D
Hmm... checked the profiles of the voice actors, the rest of them seem to have a lot of prior experience voicing animated characters, save for one... how strange.
Comics2film (http://www.comics2film.com/ProjectFrame.php?f_id=643) has an archive of sorts on press releases from the series.

wow, this post was in 2005, didnt know it'd take that long to finally have recent developments, anyway i'll repost it here:
Indian tennis legend Vijay Amritraj's firm First Serve Toonz has entered into a joint venture agreement with Marvel Entertainment to co-produce 26 half-hour episodes of the New X-Men Series worldwide.
The cartoon series will be centered primarily on the popular Wolverine character. The announcement was made by Avi Arad, Chairman and CEO of Marvel Studios, and Ed Borgerding, CEO of First Serve Toonz.
FST is a newly created joint venture between First Serve International whose chairman is tennis legend turned entertainment entrepreneur, businessman and UN Messenger of Peace, Vijay Amritraj, and the award winning Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd, headed by CEO P. Jayakumar.
Under terms of the agreement, FST, which operates its animation studios in India, will begin pre-production immediately on 26 episodes in a 2D-3D combination of characters and background.
The initial episodes are expected to be ready for worldwide distribution by summer 2007. First Serve Toonz will produce the Series while both Marvel Studios and FST will oversee the creative direction. International TV and DVD distribution will be managed by FST whereas Marvel retains distribution rights for the United States.
The agreement was negotiated by Bruno Maglione, president of Marvel International, Marvel's London-based subsidiary focused on international opportunities, and builds on a similar agreement with France's Antefilms Productions for a Fantastic Four animated series.
Avi Arad stated: "X-Men is one of Marvel's crown jewels, and it makes sense to focus on the popular Wolverine character for our second animation project. First Serve Toonz, one of the leading animation houses in the Indian animation market, was a natural choice for our first animation partnership in this creative and talent rich market.
continued...
Maglione added: "This is another step in Marvel's strategy to team with leading animation production houses around the world in order to add a powerful TV animation plank to the coordinated multi-media promotion platform for our character franchises."
Amritraj said he was eager to get Marvel to consider India as a strategic animation production base for its classic Marvel Super Heros.
"I am delighted to be working with Avi, Bruno and everyone at Marvel and look forward to a great association."
"It is a great pleasure to be working with Marvel and its outstanding creative and management team. Clearly, the opportunity to make a show based on such already world-famous characters as Wolverine and the X-Men is a unique privilege and an exciting prospect both artistically and business-wise" said Ed Borgerding, CEO of First Serve Toonz.
"We are excited about our production deal with Marvel - a cutting edge global leader in children's entertainment. Kids everywhere love the rough-edged and rebellious Wolverine character, and the X-Men franchise brings a range of themes and characters that appeal to a global audience. This will be a groundbreaking deal for the Indian entertainment industry," said P. Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Animation Pvt. Ltd.
With a library of over 5,000 characters, Marvel Entertainment, Inc. - formerly known as Marvel Enterprises, Inc. - is one of the world's most prominent character-based entertainment companies. Marvel's operations are focused on utilizing its character franchises in licensing, entertainment, publishing and toys.
Areas of emphasis include feature films, DVD/home video, consumer products, video games, action figures and role-playing toys, television and promotions.
Rooted in the creative success of over sixty years of comic book publishing, Marvel's strategy is to leverage its character franchises in a growing array of opportunities around the world. For additional information visit www.marvel.com.
First Serve International, LLC is a California based company with offices in Los Angeles, London and India, which produces and distributes motion pictures and television programming. First Serve also offers consulting and marketing services to media companies, markets media related products and engages in related businesses such as consumer products licensing. (ANI)

Oh well..instead of having it a team cartoon, y'know with Cyclops as the leader we thought we'd put Wolvie at the front as the leader...but he shouldn't be, and then have the others in the background...like REALLY mess with the status quo...

And then there's also the latest Fantastic Four animated series, which aired on Toonami this past fall. New episodes of the show are currently in postproduction and are expected to air to coincide with the release of the live-action Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer this summer.
"That should be re-launching in the next few months during the 'Year of the Four,' which of course is the Fantastic Four live-action movie," says Kyle. "So we're looking forward to getting the show back on the air with all of the support of the film. And that was a nice break for us [from the other projects], because it's largely a comedy adventure series and something that really fit the characters that we were doing."

In a recent Newsarama interview, Chris Yost did say he has every issue of Gen X & that he's sorry he forgot to include the dead Gen-Xers in the list. I dont know if Yost is involved in this new series though...
anyway you know Steve Gordon, the guy who designed the Evo X-men? I bought his sketchbook online from his blog & asked him if I he could include a sketch of Chamber. The dear man actually drew Jono for me on the last page of the book, & it rocks! How I wish Chamber would have been in Evo.:(

In 2007, Marvel Studios will put out a new X-Men animated show that will primarily feature Wolverine, this time using a mesh of 2D/3D animation for characters and backgrounds. Avi Arad, CEO of Marvel Studios, stated "X-Men is one of Marvel's crown jewels and it makes sense to focus on the popular Wolverine character for our second animation project." The title of the new X-Men cartoon project is titled, "Wolverine and the X-Men" Production has already started.
ohhh.... a mesh of 2D/3D... hmmm....
also:
The synopsis is as follows: The first story in the upcoming 'Wolverine and the X-Men' animated series will likely be a three-part episode. Greg Johnson, who wrote all four of Marvel's direct-to-DVD animated films, is working on development of the series. "At this point, the series will open with a three-parter as the pilot, of which I'm currently writing," Johnson said. "It's like a little movie."
[edit] Progress
Marvel's mutants could be returning to the small screen as early as fall 2008.
"We are in pre-production," Rollman said. "We have a nice batch of scripts that are done. It's a really neat new take on the X-Men."
Is it tough to do the X-Men again, following Fox Kids' X-Men and Kids' WB!'s X-Men: Evolution?
"I wouldn't say it's tough, I would say it's fun," Rollman said. "There's so much to do with them. Yeah, there's been two series that have been done, but there's plenty of room in this world. The point of view in this one, since it's called Wolverine and the X-Men, has quite a different twist to it as the sort of base story line."
Greg Johnson, who wrote the first four Marvel/Lionsgate animated films and was a story editor on X-Men: Evolution, is story editor.
Rollman said the series hasn't been sold to a network yet
man i hate the whole "wolverine and the x-men" title....makes out that wolverine is super important, which he isn't. And that he is not part of the x-team...when he clearly is.

Wolverine was awesome in the 90s animated series ("I got yer pointers right here!").
One of my favorites from memory.
Graydon Creed: "New members arent allowed in here."
Wolverine: "Let the girl go Creed."
Graydon Creed:  "You dont have the right to demand anything from me!"
Wolverine: SNIKT! :evilangry "These give me plenty of rights!"
Graydon Creed:  "A mutant!!"
Wolverine: "Whats the matter Creed? Daddy's boy doesnt like claws!?"

Gave them to a friend when I got the good ones.
They were crap, though. Picture sucked, and you could tell they didn't even check them 'cause some episodes would have a big, black bar pop across the entire middle of the screen saying to report bootleggers.
Only reason I bought bootlegs is lack of choice. I still say that if they release them legit, I'll buy them immediately, but for now I have no choice.

No, I could never find it here and I already had those episodes. See, I used to have a tape that I made when the show was still on which had about two dozen episodes on it. It wasn't until about two years ago I decided I wanted the entire series. When I found that it wasn't released, and apparenly never will be, I went to eBay.
But I still want them to release it legit. And the fourth season of Evolution, too. What's the hold-up on that one, I wonder?

New update, there's been a promotional image released. Nyssane posted it up in X-Cres, so I figured that I should post it here too.
Here it is. (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=2502211&postcount=193)
Characters on it appear to be Wolverine, Beast, Colossus, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and a walking Professor Xavier (I think).
Also, IMDB has listed (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0772145/) voice actors for Angel, Mystique, Squid Boy, and Senator Kelly. According to Beast (the poster :p), Cyclops is also said to be a cast member.
I think the character designs are good, but I'm more concerned about characterization, and whether or not they'll stay true to the themes.

Probably to differentiate him as much as possible from Nightcrawler. I think he looks good.
I'm just glad he's Blue this time. Since Marvel has a bug up it's butt about two characters of the same color in the same cartoon. That's why Beast was grey in X-Men: Evolution. I like the design, not too sure about the costume choice though. I prefer Hank in just trunks. But ah well. :)

The difference here, though, is that Snake Eyes is maximum pwnage, and Wolverine isn't ;)
Seriously, though, I'm staying away from this on general principle, no matter what the title turns out to be. A series where freakin' Wolverine is a field leader, over and above guys like Cyclops and Storm?
Way to miss the point of the character, guys...
Rubbish. Wolverine is easily the most popular X-Man so he's obviously "super important".
See? We have a logical mind here, people. Wolverine is the most popular, so he should have his own cartoon series, just like he's already had three movies (oh, don't be like that. You all know the X-Movies were centred around Wolverine...).

Yeah, I could see that being a problem. I kind of liked seeing Beast grey actually. It's better than him being bigger than Colossus IMO.
Or they could always go the Ultimate route where they color Nightcrawler differently. Initially in Ultimate X-men he was a very dark greenish blue, whereas Hank was a much lighter shade of blue.
Regardless, though, I'm also glad it's not cat-Beast.

Hmmm... I'm guessing absorption only, since if they give her the Ms. Marvel ones, they'll have to explain that through backstory, which probably won't happen if this series is very Wolverine-centric. I hope they don't put it on Cartoon Network, since I only have very basic cable. :o

Yeah, they already have the two strong characters. And Beast was drawn fairly large in X-Men: Evolution also. But yeah, I'd rather see her depend just on her absorbtion. She did in X-Men: Evolution and was a great character. If she's along those lines, but less goth.. I'll be happy. :)

I do have to wonder why there's no Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Emma Frost, etc. Seems kind of strange.
Perhaps this will truly be tied to the comics and Cyclops and Emma will be running the school, but not part of the team. And Storm will guest-star in an episode with her husband, the Black Panther, and viewers will obviously learn that she used to be an X-man. And Jean will of course be dead.
If it were something like that it would make sense why Logan was leading the team. Otherwise I have to admit that it does seem a bit off (not that I'm complaining, mind you).:)
Oh, and being directly tied to the current continuity in the comics would also explain why Xavier is out of his wheelchair.

RW, Cyclops is in. He's voiced by the guy who does Raphel for TMNT.
Storm's also confirmed. But I'm not having any luck looking for cast info for her.
I'm pulling most of it from IMDB.Com as well as Toon Zone.
Steven Jay Blum ... Wolverine (2007) (attached)
Dominic Janes ... Squidboy/Sammy Pare (2007)
Richard Doyle ... Sen. Kelly (2007) (voice)
Liam O'Brien ... Nightcrawler, Angel (2007)
Kieren van den Blink ... Rogue
Danielle Judovits ... Shadowcat/Kitty Pryde (2007)
Tamara Bernier ... Mystique (2007)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0772145/
Nolan North ... Cyclops (From Wikipedia)
Fred Tatasciore ... Beast (From Toon Zone)
The Wolverine voice actor played him for the video games, I believe.
The Beast voice actor is an odd choice. He's William Shatner from Robot Chicken, General Gato from the TMNT movie, and Hulk from Ultimate Avengers. So they're going fairly deep with his voice this time around.

Beast wasn't grey in X-men Evo...sure he wasn't bright blue, but he WAS still blue. Definately not grey.
Anyway as for that promo image, the best thing about it is Wolverine. I don't like the look of the other character designs at all. The style of art is too cartoony, Colossus and Beasts costumes look silly.
Why didn't they just given them all the current comic costumes? That's what I was hoping for when Mr.Yost said that it'd be more like the 90's cartoon than evo...although having said that, Nightcrawlers current comic costume is like his crappest ever...yet he's one of the few they HAVE given the comic design...irony
I don't like Rogues look at all. And I guess my lucks out for having Iceman be a main character for a change...

I've been keeping an eye on cast info on various forums, and I haven't heard anything about villains other than Mystique and Senator Kelly. So who knows at this point. They'll probably stick with the mainstream well known ones. Magneto, Sentinels, Sabretooth, the Brotherhood. I'm sure we'll hear more in time.

Walking Prof, It's happened in the books a few times, probably prosthetics.
The character models look good, a step up from evolution, not loving nightcrawler's outfit though.

Looks great. I agree that specifically calling out Wolverine's name in the title is a bit much, but, whether certain people on the internet like it or not, the guy is popular with the masses.
I kind of like the idea of him leading the team also, as he has tons of experience from just being so old (not to mention all of the combat and tactical training he's had in various clandestine organizations). Having said that, there ought to be a pretty good reason why Cyclops or Storm aren't there leading.
As I said in the other thread, perhaps this series is closely tied to current comic book continuity and Scott and Emma run the school and Ororo is married to the Black Panther. Thus Logan leads the X-men.
Regardless, I'm sure the show will do well.

It's a shame that we don't get a wider range of characters, but I would question a non-comic book X-Men project that didn't include Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Xavier, Rogue and Jean Grey. To me, those characters are the X-Men. Of course, I'd love to see Northstar, Emma, Darwin, Siryn, Warpath, Hellion, Dust, and several others, but not at the expense of who I consider to be the core six. Of course, Jean can just be dead, and I'm OK with that, as long as it actually means something.
Anyway, I'm intrigued. Rogue looks great, but Kitty looks like a little bit of a mess.

Sure he is. I don't think that's in doubt but X-Men has a whole has been fairly popular. It seems Marvel doesn't have enough faith in Wolverine selling this so it's "and the X-Men". Nor do they have faith in the X-Men alone. It seems very odd.
Thus Logan leads the X-men.
Xavier is right there though. Plus it's Wolverine and the X-Men. If he was an X-Man the title wouldn't make sense. More than likely Logan will have his own agenda but work with the X-Men. Like Cable in X-Men.

What? He has an X on his belt. He's the star of the cartoon where he is the field leader of the team. He's an X-Man. Thats silly reasoning, he's in charge, its "Wolverine and the X-Men" makes sense with him being a member. I'm sure Xavier is still the founder/leader/whatever in general, but they've stated in official releases regarding the series that Wolvie is the field leader, and we can most certainly be sure that he is indeed a member of the team.

Plus they know that Wolverine is popular with the kids, thanks to the movies. He's the bread and butter character. So selling the series on him just ensures that kids will tune in and watch. As well as buy whatever likely toys that will be made featuring him and the rest of the cast from the toon. Hopefully unlike the Evo toys, Beast will actually be produced this time around. I still want to steal the prototype from Craig Kyle's office. ;)

But Wolverine's name is redundant - the kids already think "Wolverine" when they hear "X-Men". If you say "X-Men" to a class of 4th graders they put pencils between their fingers and say "Grrr...I'm X-Man". Really, they do - I've seen it.
And then if you're lucky they'll say they think they remember a character who shoots out of his eyes and that pretty lady Jean that Wolverine is in love with. Rogue and Storm will most likely not be mentioned unless pressed. And kids don't remember there was ever an X-Men movie 1 or 2.

Can't say I'm a fan of the animation style--I thought Evolution was pretty fugly as well. The elongated/skinny/gangly/real-cartoony look just doesn't suit super hero shows very well IMHO, well it worked for the 90s Batman cartoon and its working for Teen Titans, but those are the only exceptions! :p

Seriously, I'm actually kinda surprised at the lack of emphasis they tend to give Iceman when it comes to their cartoon series. His look is highly distinctive and his powers always make for a fun visual, and you'd think his personality, ice-slides and pranks and jokes would all appeal to the younger demographic. And as far as recognizability as X-Men goes, I'd think he was at least as identifiable as Shadowcat and Nightcrawler to the average viewer.

Still, no disrespect to Dazzler intended (lol), Iceman does tend to be a bit higher profile amongst your average tv viewer, thanks to the movies and such.
And there lies the crux of my confusion....they make Iceman high profile in just about every other side project, be it Ultimate, the movies, or whatever.....and then either exclude him or belatedly shoehorn him into the one medium where you'd think they'd have the most success finding an audience for his character.....kids' cartoons. *Shrugs* Ah well.

To differentiate him from Beast. Marvel won't allow two blue characters in the same cartoon. They have rules about this sort of thing. It's also sorta the reason why there was no Kurt in X3. Because they think kids are so stupid, they won't be able to tell them apart otherwise. That's why Beast wasn't introduced in Evo until Season two, and instead of being blue... they made him a greyish blue.
And there's no news on the release of X-Men: Evolution Season 4 on DVD. Supposedly it's planned, but it's not on the schedule. Mostly because Season 4 is the only season that Marvel has the rights to release themselves, likely via Lionsgate. The others fall under Warner Brothers. So they probably want to wait and release it as a tie-in with an Animated X-Men movie at some point. Or some other X-Men project.

Kids aren't THAT stupid. That's like taking away the Fantastic Four's matching costume since they don't the kiddies to confuse Johnny with Reed.
You're probably right about Marvel releasing the Season Four DVD's when X-men 4 comes out. (We both know that there is going to be either a sequel or a reboot since "X-men 3 The Last Stand" made sooooo much money.)
Even though I don't like the character designs and Wolverine playing front in center instead of Cyclops and the rest of the deserving Xmen, I'll still check the show out. It could be as fun as the new, current F4 cartoon.

Is that gonna be the full regular roster? Seems kinda lacking.
Couple points:
-Beast looks huge, he's bigger than Colossus
-2 agile blue guys? (I know I know, they're different, but it still seems redundant)
-Is that Kitty next to Nightcrawler? (I can only assume so b/c of her basic uniform) I am also not digging the "troll" hair
-I'm getting the feeling they're gonna go w/ the basic absorption powers only for Rogue so that means no flyers on this team
-I don't mind a walking Xavier, but he looks pretty aged (I think I see quite a few wrinkles) so I wonder how involved he'll be on field missions (other than psy recon)
-They have no energy wielders/ranged attacks (Xavier notwithstanding)
-I'm surprised there's no Cyclops, Jean, or Storm on this team
-These are basically all A-list characters (for the X-Men anyway), kinda weird. The previous series seemed to have at least 1 B/C-lister (TAS had Morph kinda and Evolution had Spyke kinda lol)
-Maybe they've learned from the Spyke debacle, but still seems kinda lacking in racial diversity (could at least substitute a "known" member into the roster like Jubilee or Storm). Not saying it's a "must," but just about all previous team series (F4 excluded) have had some token race member (simply can't get around saying that unfortunately) to try and reach a wider demographic/be more "equal"

No, I want Emma as the resident entertaining, bitchy telepath and far from any love triangle, square, rectangle, octagon, circle or whatever shape it may have. Endless love triangles are a cheap excuse for not coming up with creative, engaging plots.

-Is that Kitty next to Nightcrawler? (I can only assume so b/c of her basic uniform) I am also not digging the "troll" hair
That isn't her hair, it's Beasts outfit. There is gleam on her hair which makes it look merged. I thought the same as you at first but if you look closer you can see her hair is long, flowing to the side behind her head

Only if you ignore all the parts that were about other people.

Other irrelevant people. The movies could very well be called WOLVERINE and his amazing friends, the X-Men.

*sigh* why oh why could they not have made a sixth season of Evolution instead? Would have rocked so much more :p

Ooooh, now I see it. Good catch. Makes me feel a lot better. Crazy hair like troll hair on American comic book characters is a pet peeve of mine (strangely not a factor when it comes to anime/manga tho lol). I was not a fan of the new F4 cartoon and Johnny's super tall hair or Sue's jagged locks (don't really like Reed's flop top much either for that matter). The new X-men cartoon art reminds me a bit of Skottie Young's art too.
I managed to finally find some time to skim thru the rest of the thread, and I'm hearing that Angel's gonna be part of the regular team? Sweet! But where's everyone getting this info? I remember hearing about them making a new X-Men cartoon months ago but that was the last I heard about it till now. Looking forward to see some more promo art.

I loved how they gave us a preview of what the new team could have looked like with their new costumes, new powers, and new Xmen, Jean turning into the Phoenix, Quilksiver and Scarlet Witch grown up with and older Brotherhood of evil, and Magneto training with the New Mutants.
But I hated how they decided not to make the next season and start from scratch with Wolverine and the Xmen.

Angel hasn't been confirmed as being part of the regular team. He is one of the characters confrmed that's not on the promo poster though. Given that the same person who's voicing Nightcrawler is doing him, it's certain that Angel's likely a secondary character. Much like he was in X-Men: Evolution.

Hey, instead of whining about Wolverine being in the title, you really ought to be glad you're getting a show with the X-men in it at all. I mean, with the popularity of the New Avengers these days, Marvel could've just said screw the X-men altogether and made a New Avengers cartoon instead with Wolverine and Spider-man!
But the Avenger's have never really sold well on other entertainment mediums. I mean look at their most recent work, the two animated movies, Marvel didn't even trust the Avengers to hold their own series. Not that their animated last series was any good, but...

O well, you win some you lose some:o Still excited to see Angel in another animated series. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

I really hope this series doesn't create new villains or constantly re-use the same old ones (Magneto, Apocalypse, Sabretooth, yadda yadda yadda). I want characters who have never seen the light of day in animation to appear. Give me some hot Kleinstock merging action!

I wonder if it'll be more closer to comic canon like TAS or Ultimized like Evo.
Either way, I think the Fall of Avalon would be beautiful animated.

Definitely! I really hope they go the comic route. I mean, creating new stories is great and all, but there are so many awesome issues out there that would translate very well into animation.

I would love for them to be closer to the comic book and introduced Phoenix Saga, Fall of Mutants etc., but just with interesting different new twists and turns just to throw off the comic fans.
Kinda like what Ultimate XMen should be like.. but fails to be.

I'm not too keen on the whole "Hey! It's Wolverine! Oh, and some other characters. Dunno why they're here..." title.
But if Deadpool gets a speaking part, then I'm all for it.
Edit; Skinny knees are skiiiiiinny!

Actually, I wonder if it couldn't take up after Evolution, maybe just a few years later and with the X-Men now being mostly adults and the team evolving more into the standard superhero/outsider dynamic the comics are. There's definitely a shared aesthetic going on here...

That's very possible. The cast isn't all too different (and Colossus was very close with the X-Men toward the show's end). No one looks dramatically different...just older.

I hope they stay true to the comics but give unexpected twists to keep the more knowledgeable fanboys on their toes. I think some of the more classic stories should definitely get tweaking especially.
I just hope they don't replace D-List characters with more common characters (yes, I'm looking at YOU non-Acolyte Acolytes!).
Definitely! I really hope they go the comic route. I mean, creating new stories is great and all, but there are so many awesome issues out there that would translate very well into animation.
That's true. Leave all the awesome new ideas for the comic books!
This is a great opportunity to bring a lot of classic and underappreciated stories into a multimedia format. I hope they don't pass it up.

That's because Steve Gordon, the guy who came up with the character designs for X-Men:Evolution sorta helped out a little bit with the designs here. He wasn't heavily involved, I think he just oversaw it.
Also, one of the project directors of Evo (Boyd Kirkland) is also spearheading the project here, IIRC, but he said that it's not an off-shoot of Evo. Comics2Film has an archive of articles (http://www.comics2film.com/ProjectFrame.php?f_id=643) relating to the show here. There was also an article saying what the basic premise of the show was, and how they would adapt comic stories to the show, but I can't find it. :o
Ah, nevermind. I found the article. It was on IGN. Here's a link (http://tv.ign.com/articles/756/756858p1.html).

Well, that's too bad... I quite liked Evolution, and the previous continuity could've made for more interesting setups versus doing yet another adaptation from scratch.

The cartoon from the 1990`s was the best ever.Your either too young to remember,or have no taste.
Secondly,im getting the impression from that image..that the cartoon is even worse in quality than Legion Of Superheros.Im not expecting much...
