I have a confession to make:

This podcast is very very late.

Actually, I have two confessions to make: Jamie and I recorded this podcast last weekend, and then I deleted it by mistake.

I screwed up. It's one of those Rites of Passage for podcasters everywhere, and now I've done it. So it's out of my system and won't happen again. My most public apologies to Jamie for that one.

Jamie and I redid the podcast last night and I'll be launching it tonight. Keep an eye out on your RSS feeds for the show. It runs about 45-50 minutes or so.

Yeah, but if you make it too short, you won't have time to cover as much. I'd rather have a long but mostly all-encompassing podcast, then a short but incomplete podcast. Looking forward to it though.

And I like to get the thing recorded and out the door. I get too cute sometimes with the editing. So this time, there is no editing. I evened out the sound between Jamie and I, and that's it. No further editing. You'll hear us talk over each other this time, and that's just the way it has to be. =)

Don't feel the need to keep these things short. Don't waste time either. Just take whatever time you need to cover what all is in Previews for the month.I'd rather have the episdoe be an hour long than miss something that I'd like simply because you didn't want the episdoe to run "long".

My job is uncertain in about three weeks' time. My contract is up and it doesn't appear like the higher-ups want to keep any contractors around.

So, er, my PREVIEWS list would be shrinking an awful lot.

Don't worry -- if worse comes to worst, I have a LARGE pile of unread stuff to keep me busy for months.

In the meantime, I'm ditching all manga titles for the quick cost-savings, and it looks like WDC&S and UNCLE SCROOGE might have to be next, just due to the price tag. (I'll pop back in for new Don Rosa material, and that's about it.)

Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

You ought to see if Gemstone will send you comp copies of WDC&S and Uncle Scrooge. Your mentioning them on the columns and podcast has to be worth at least that much to them. (and if they don't think so, well, then they are wrong...)

I went through a period last year when it looked like the company I was working for was about to go belly up. We managed to pull through that period but it was a rough couple of months. I'm only just now getting back on a couple of universes that I dropped back then.

Had the company actually gone under, I probably would have dropped a ton of Marvel titles and cut back to the core DC books.

My job's in an uncertain situation. The company I work for was bought out, and I'm not sure if I'll still have a job. No idea if they still need artists here:(

Well, I still have birthday money I can use bit by bit every month for a trade or two, and at the rate I'm reading, I should be fine:) Plus, I know God's gotten me through worse...

I realized that I never posted my list after this podcast. Well, here it is!

And on a side note: I made some time this week at work and took all of the remaining DCBS Excel sheets, cleaned them up, and made a database out of them! I loaded in the entire spreadsheet too, and not just what I placed orders for, so I can now tell you when anything was up for order going back to Feb 2005! I can also tell you, roughly, what I spent a month (YIKES!) and all kinds of other bits of data!

So, it was cake to pull up March's orders!
