It's been a pretty long time since they announced it, though. Wonder why it's taking so long and why they'd bother doing that cameo in Supergirl... what, three or four months ago, when it wasn't even close to coming out yet.

Here's part of an interview with Jimmy Palmiotti from Wizarduniverse.com:

I know you’re working on Countdown, but what other projects do you have in the works?

PALMIOTTI: We’ve got a Terra [miniseries] coming up with Amanda Conner [as a result] of the events of World War 3. We’re going to introduce the new Terra to the DCU and to everyone else in the fall.

I recently read Supergirl #12, which you and Justin wrote, and your Terra was such a switch from the Terra we know from The New Teen Titans. I’m interested to see how she relates to other teen heroes.

PALMIOTTI: She is a fish-out-of-water character, but her ambitions are all pure. She’s really different from the other Terras that you’ve seen. There’s a lot more to it that we don’t want to give away, because it’s one of those books where in every issue we show you something else you didn’t know. We do cover some information on the old Terras, but even if you never saw Terra, you can read it, and if you know the history that’s great as well. We don’t want to scare anybody off with it.

That sounds pretty cool. I know a lot about the characters and past of the DCU, but I really don't know anything about Terra other than that she was dead.
