Known as Larry Bud Melman to Letterman fans. He hadn't been on the show for 5 years, but with his manic laugh he was a comedy classic from the early-80s through the mid-90s.

Man, I miss him already. I remember when Dave sent him on the trip to the southernmost part of South America. I remember you could hear his dissatisfaction grow with each report. He always made me laugh.
