The other day i noticed that i have quite a large collection of American Footbal movies in my dvd collection, and i was wondering if anyone had any good recomendations.

Movies that i have or have seen:

North Dallas Forty.
Saw it eons ago, and don't really remember much about it except that i thought that Nick Nolte ran funny, and isn't convincing as a wide reciever
5/10

The Longest Yard. (Burt Reynolds original)
Prison Football
Pretty good football scenes
"I told you i'd break his fucking neck"!! Top movie
7/10

Wildcats.
One of Goldie Hawns best (with a young Wesley Snipes and Woody Harlson)
High School football
Good football scenes
"Lets go eat some pussy"
8/10

Neccessary Roughness.
College football (Scott Bakula and the ledgend that is Sinbad)
Good football scenes
"What we need to do is get crazy, we need to get wild.....we need to paaaartay!"
6/10

Last Boy Scout
Profesional Football
few football scenes, but a good buddy movie with Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans......could have done with a sequal IMO
(Halle Berry looking mighty fiiiiiiiiine)
6.5/10 (.5 is just for a pole dancing halle)

Varsity Blues
High School Football
Decent football scenes, and one great whipped cream bikini
7/10

Any Given sunday
Professional Football
Great football scenes and a killer sound track
9/10

Remember The Titans
College football
Great Football scenes, good true story, proberbly my favorite of the genre
9.5/10

The Longest yard ( Adam Sandler remake)
Prison again, not bad for a re-make, pretty good football scenes
7/10

The Waterboy
College football
One of Sandlers better offerings, decent football scenes
7.5/10

Gridiron Gang
High School/ juvenille correction facility
Decent football scenes, above average movie
7/10

Facing The Giants
High Schol football
Mediocre football scenes, felt like i was watching a Christian propaganda movie (no offence christians, but there was more thanking god that any three Oscar ceremonies put together)
3/10

We are Marshall
College football
good football scenes, wonderful story, all the better for being true
9/10

So, what am i missing people? please let me know, and if you could kind of give them a grading, it would be much appreciated:rolleyes:

North Dalls 40 is far better than most football flicks, dude. And grid Iron Gang is crap, rate it a 3.

Lockup with Stallone. While primarily a prison movie, it does have an awesome football game in it, a la the Longest Yard.

Yeah, I'd add Friday Night Lights and Little Giants to that list.

Try then last half-hour or so of "M*A*S*H." That features on of the funniest football scenes ever.

Friday Night Lights, despite the fact the game at the end was the state Semi-Final game and not the State Championship game, is the end all be all to the best Football movie of all time.

And wasn't Andrew Brianarsky in like about half of these movies? I know for sure he was in The Program and Any Given Sunday.

It's a made-for-TV movie, but there's alway Brian's Song.
