The art is really beautiful. I am getting more and more excited about this arc. Though I thought that it was Niko and Skottie that did this art instead of Niko and Paco. Either way I am a happy camper.

It is skottie. If you look at the cover, it says Yost, Young and Henrichon.

of 6. Arcs are usually 6 parts, and this would really be 5, because this first one is a prologue to the story, it's Blindfold telling the story of Illyana.

Hey, anyone else have an idea who those two cloaked persons were that Belasco saw in his handy demon-mirror? Since they're red and silver I was thinking they're Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and Belasco is finding about House of M/M-day.

As much as i like Ilyanna she's had her chance and now we have new characters as long as the writers tend to still treat this as an ensemble cast i'll be happy with her inclusion.

People feared that C & C would go overboard with X-23, and they haven't. I think they'll be fair with Illyana.

Me too :). I'm giving serious thought to picking up this book now, after never having bought it in any of its incarnations. I'll at least pick up this ish, it looks stunning!

It's actually part 1 of 5. This prelude issue then the actual arc is 4 parts.

I'm super annoyed they covered up Henrichons Rockslide with the barcode!! And dissapointed to see the headshots not updated to be by Young (and maybe including different charaacters)

The preview art is absolutely stunning but I'm getting kinda tired of the main cast getting such little panel time. We've had 4 months of everyone except Hellion, X-23 and Mercury being nothing more than supporting cast, and with Magik and limbo looks like it'll be 5 months come April.

But I know (hope) this will be rectified in the Quest for Magik proper, so I'm still super excited about the book.
