Cost of PS3 in America

Hi all, I'm from Singapore and am looking to buy an American PS3 set so that I can play my American PS2 games. Would like some info on how much the PS3 is currently being sold in the US with 1 controller. (If before tax, please indicate the after tax value also if possible)

Tax varies from nothing to a lot in the US depending on where you live so depending on the state it could be zero or it could be as much fifty to sixty dollars.

Also, I'm pretty sure you'll need to pay duty when you're taking the Ps3 back to your country.

Thanks all. Any idea how much the duties might be? Now weighing my options. Should I order via online or wait till someone I know goes to the States to get my hands on the PS3. The price of the US set here is exhorbitant.

You need to find out if the PS3 is region encoded or whatever the term is. If it is then you wil also have to make sure that all of your PS 3 games are shipped from America as well. Best of luck to you.
