Buffy in TPB form?

I'm currently watching Buffy and Angel, but don't see myself finishing the series for quite some time. However, I would like to read the new comic series after I'm done with the seasons. I don't really want to buy the monthlies and not read them for months on end (maybe even more than a year?)... but I would like to buy TPBs and collect those for eventual reading.

Does anyone know if TPBs are planend for the new comic series?

Dark Horse will collect the new Buffy series eventually. It's just a question of when. Joss doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to deadlines.

According to Dark Horse last month Joss finished his five issues and George Jeanty is finished or closed to finishing issue 3. So his first arc should be able to come out at a regular pace. And there's several rotating writers and artists doing a couple arcs before he does his next arc.

In June or July, they are releasing the first volume of the Buffy Omnibus series. It will collect in storyline order the various Buffy comics that Dark Horse put out while the show was on the air. They are I think $20 or $25 a piece and should have 10-15 issues a piece. I have already preordered the first one.
