If some professor who had a degree in mythology or something wrote books about the people like Achilles and Hercules and all of that stuff because i have read the Iliad and wonder what it would be like if someone had a series out
that followed along with the Mythology and then ventured off into plausible scenario's

I have always believed that comics were an excellent way to present history lessons, folk tales and other stories, and I have actually built up a pretty good collection of these kinds of comics over the years and I want to seriously second that choice.

Age of Bronze is extremly well done, and I highly recommend it.

That is good. do they sell them at regular book stores like B&N or at comic places?

Both, I think. The individual issues are sold at comic book stores, but I think I recall seeing the TPBs at Borders.

And to follow up on my rather enigmatic post, Age of Bronze is an incredible series. Eric Shanower is not only a very skillful cartoonist, but he also does an excellent job of making fantastic stories seem real and believable. When I read Age of Bronze, I feel like I'm experiencing the Trojan War the way it really was.

Cool, because when i read the Iliad it was interesting but long winded with every time someone was introduced we got their family tree
which made me lose interest. I prefer TPB's but I enjoy comics as well pictures are always good.
