I was watching "Dirty Jobs" a few months ago when the host Mike Rove went into a batcave. The floor was so covered in guano(bat s**t) that he sunk knee deep into it! Also, the air was filled with ammonia from all the bat droppings, AND it was hotter than two hells in there. My question: how does Batman survive in a place like that? Does he use his fancy machines to filter the air and clean up the crap? I'd imagine Alfred and a dustpan ain't gonna get up all of that stuff.

Bat shit has a name Guano I think. Something like that, and it worth a lot of money as fertiliser. James Bond kills Doctor No in said same book, by burying him under a few tonnes of it. Maybe Bruce's fortune comes from shoveling sh*t.
You are right about conditions but it's a comic and comics aren't real.

Its a little known fact that Bruce's first mission as the Batman was to potty train all the bats in the cave. Think of it as Batman: Year Number Two

if dr. no did it, why not bruce?
he could use some separate somewhat untraceable funds to put into batmaning so he isn't just running off waynetech.
and the reason there are so many robins is alfred was complaining about having to deal with the guano while bats was off fighting crime that he asked for assistants.
maybe bruce just makes the bats do their stuff in the giant chasm to the left of the batcomputer... he won't have to deal with it for 1000 years or so, and he is rich enough to afford a whole lotta glade plugins.

This was actually mentioned in Batman Confidential this month. There is a complex air filtration system in the cave.

Hey there's a rule about these parts: NEVER use the phrase "Comics aren't real" around here, ok? ;)
