Greetings..
Some of you may remember me, some may not, but I used to post quite frequently on these boards and have since made a return to them. Anyhow, now that I am back in the comic scene and ready to post here again on CBR.
But now to buisness, when I first post, I used to do a fantasy based roleplaying thread, but because of my departure it was never finished. Well, I got the idea to do something a bit different, a Super Hero roleplaying thread and thought I would do a few things different from the norm. First and foremost basic rules...
I need at the most 6, at the least 3. If you do have a character that will become a villian then let me know, but please limit this to one player.
The thread will be played in Story Arcs...so far I have a planned number of 6 story arcs so far, that we can get up to.
Where do powers come from? Well some are gained in traditional comic book matters, an alien, god, radioactivity, what got you...but some come from The Crystalline...A Meteor that crashed years ago, but really is not a meteor. Its true nature will be explored in the thread...
The back story is this....America is ofcourse unopposed. It has the worlds only Super Hero Team...The Elite Five...Ultros the Might, his wife Fire Phoenix, The Ice King, Brugo the Mighty, and Grim. Ultros is a super hero like character, Fire Phoenix is a red head and she manipulates fire, The Ice King is an old wizened man who can creat cold and ice at a whim, Brugo the mighty is a dragon like beast with the phyiscality of a man, and Grim is a punisher/comedian type character, who excells in gunplay...
Your character may or may not have admired them, but they are the only noble and good super heroes in the world or so you think. Everyone else with powers or so told by the media have been driven mad or into evil and have been either killed or defeated by the Elite Five. Only a few questioned this but they were quickly shut up...No matter, the Elite Five is very popular and have been for ten years. The original leader, Shade was cast out as a traitor and vanished...
One of the characters must be childhood friends with a boy named Matt. Thats all I require. One day after you and Matt got out of school, you go home and pass the time....you then turn on the tv and find Matt in battle with the Elite 5. He seemingly is scared, but the five quickly subdue him...Then suddenly you pass out...
That character and the others find themselves in a cave under the rocky mountains of Colorado, and they find that they were brought here by the outlaw Shade.
Thats pretty much it, send me your backstory and we will work it in the story. At this point, you will gain new powers as the game moves along, and remember you choices will dramatically effect what arcs you do next....
