I never quite got into this game when it was released, but I'm really loving it now... And the fact that the prices of both the games and the bongos have dropped drastically makes it a great deal.

The game is basically DDR for your hands. It's organized in the same way, you just use bongos instead of a dance pad. The song selection is somewhat crappy, to be honest. The first game offers the best and worst songs of the two, while DK2 has a bland selection of alternative and dance music. Overall, I prefer the first game for its good songs, ignoring as much as possible its rather pathetic public domain sing-along offerings and tie-in cartoon themes. Whether you like DK2 will depend on how much you like the genre stuff. I have to say that the saddest thing about DK2 is the lack of latin jazz, which was the best part of the first game. This is, after all, a game centered around hand drumming. DK2 does offer extra remixes to sweeten the deal. Both DK and DK2 have useless minigames that you'll try once and then ignore.

Anyways. That paragraph got whiny, but overall, I'm really enjoying these games.
