According to a Dynamite Entertainment press release, Dynamite Entertainment will become the new publisher of the ongoing comic book series The Boys by writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson, beginning with issue 7 of the series.

The series is set in a contemporary world very much like our own, with one notable exception: There are many people out there who have some form of superpower. The series follows a superpowered CIA squad, known as the Boys, whose job it is to keep watch on superheroes and, if necessary, intimidate or kill them.

“I'm quite excited about the opportunities that our series the Boys will gain by moving to Dynamite! I am also looking forward to many more years with DC Comics, working on a variety of excellent projects with the great people I know there,” said Darick Robertson. “I believe that this has been an unlikely ‘win-win’ situation for all involved, and glad we can all move on, still smiling. I'm thankful to Paul Levitz and the DC staff for making this a smooth transition.”

It doesn't say when it will come out though. Still eagerly awaiting issue number seven. Can't wait.:evilsmile

I thought we already knew that. Now we just have to keep waiting for the next issue.

i think it's supposed to be released in July sometime. Dynamite also plans to release the TPB around the same time.

i'm a bit peeved that i have to wait that long. it was the second book i would read on wed nights, after 52.

Lemmiwinks! No wait a minute, Lemmiwinks was a gerbil....
Maybe Gere, that'd be funny.
I absolutely cannot wait till this series gets rolling again. This series is just what this industry needs right now.

Im so happy this series is back on track, I love the whole idea, and ya the blood sex and what not are rather out there but im more interested in the reason the boys are needed, from that last issue i believe, the casuality allowance the supes have is triple the cops and what not. Those are the things that i love.... Ok the kinky sex and over the top language is fun too ;)
