X-box 360 technical question

Quick question for you all.

I don't have X-box live but, if I give my harddrive to a friend who does can he download extra content (such as Oblivion extra content) on my harddrive or is the X-box live account specific to his user id thus making this impossible?

I'd pay him obviously so am imagining this doesn't fall foul of copyright or anything?

I believe all paid downloadable content is tied to a Live profile, don't think this would work. If there's a toll-free Xbox support line in the UK, you should give them a call for the official word.

I'm pretty sure all accounts can access the content once it's on the HDD. The gold account only gives you gamerscore and online gameplaying capabilities. Downloaded content should not be restricted.
