What do you consider to be the best 10 comic titles month-in, month out?

With the cancellation of Nextwave, and the infrequent scheduling on titles like All-Star Superman, The Goon, Ex Machina and Fell (not to mention increasingly late Marvel titles like The Ultimates and everything tied into Civil War the past six months), I don't think that there ARE ten great monthlies, but I do like buying X-Factor, Y the Last Man, and Criminal.

Nearly everything else I get in tpb.

Nightwing, Uncanny X-men, Hawkgirl,Birds of Prey, 100 Bullets, AmazingSpiderman, Supergirl, Spawn, Withblade, The Flash. Green Arrow

I cannot get enough of these monthlies. Awesome stuff. Consistantcy like no other comics on the rack. Truly paragons of the American comic industry.

I'm not counting comics that DON'T come out on a monthly schedule, or suffer Uber Delays constantly

JSA
Exerminators
She-Hulk
GodLand
52
Punisher MAX
Fables
Invincible
Captain America
Runaways---&^% YOU WHEDON!

Comics that actually come out honest-to-God every month? That leaves out all my favorite books.

But of the ones that do his their schedule, I'll say... uh... The Spirit. The Spirit is awesome. Batman and Detective aren't bad.

Ultimate Spider-Man

I forgot the Spirit! It's pretty damn good too.

Off the top of my head, here's the books I look most forward to, although to be fair, I read two of them in trades, and while good, The Spirit only has three issues out (of the Cooke run).

DMZ
Fables
Ultimate Spider-man
The Spirit
52
Captain America
Criminal
Wasteland
X-factor
Daredevil

Hm... The Spirit, Criminal, Daredevil, Batman, and Godland are all pretty good monthlies.

Monthly comics make me nervous. To much of a commitment.

I agree that it's kind of difficult to find ten.

Godland and She-Hulk definitely. I'd throw in Astonishing Ant-Man. The Spirit is kind of blah to me so far, but the art is very nice. I buy Invincible in hardcover, but that's pretty reliable, right?

In no particular order...
-Criminal
-Welcome to Tranquility
-Star Wars: Legacy
-Green Lantern
-JSA
-Crossing Midnight
-Loveless
-Fallen Angel
-Punisher MAX
-Too early to tell, but it looks like NewUniversal will be earning a place in the top 10.

My list, considering I don't even order 10 books a month:

Jonah Hex
The Spirit
Testament
Scalped
Y, the Last Man

But when they come out on their own schedule, put these on as well:
Love & Rockets
Angry Youth Comix
All Star Superman

Exiles
The Brave & The Bold
Nightwing
New Excalibur

Not monthly but the best of all: Mouse Guard

I like Catwoman too, great art by lopez, and cool stories by Pfeiffer.
Some time ago Hawkgirl would have been on my list, but now that Chaykin isn't on the art anymore.... something is missing. Even if the book have a decent artist. I'm just not a fan of the Maleev-like art of Renato Arlem as much as i was of Chaykin.

I can only think of six consistantly amazing monthly titles that are published (relatively) on schedule. Here they are in order of greatness:

Usagi Yojimbo
Detective Comics
New Universal
Midnighter
Superman Confidential
Shadowpact (since the first story arc concluded, at least)

Uggh, I've got a few I'd put in a top 10 list and a lot I'd put in there because I collect them more out of habit than anything. Its almost a disservice to the good ones to put some of the others in there but oh well. And I'm only listing currently running comics.

1. Y: The Last Man (spinning its wheels lately but I expect a good climax)
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (only one issue but I'm a Buffy addict and this is by Whedon)
3. Supreme Power
4. New Universal
5. Punisher (Garth Ennis version only)
6. Captain America

I feel as if I'm forgetting one but thats all I can put. I collect quite a few other comics but none currently worth mentioning next to these others.
