How do you get the virtual console to work on the Wii?

I have a modem I got through SBC. It has a broadband link and a network link.

you have to have 1) a wifi router or 2) the small Wifi DS thingie. I have this one and it works flawlessly

some could say that having a wif router is more useful since you can use it for internet as well. I use the wifi thingie because I already have a LAN router and don't really need it. A router can cost much more than the thingie, which is about 30 $ or less on Ebay
