So, Blood+ starts/started tonight. The char designs look nice from the pictures I've seen, but people's reviews of the show make me apprehensive.
Blood+:
let's slowly but surely build Saya into a stronger character. Shell overcome her doubts and her unwillingness to fight as she grows up more and more.
oh wait, just kidding lol, were going to totally erase all her character development and turn her into an angsty emo sleepy bitch who cant do anything by herself.Well, I'll watch ep.1 at least.
Edit: To clarify, it's the night between 3/10 and 3/11. Gets confusing around midnight, and worse yet, it's the new Daylight Saving Time switchover...

I caught it. It was neat, and I'll probably keep watching it. I did like how the gym teacher got taken out so abrubtly. Dunno 'bout the fancy-lookin' sword though.
Considering that the film was sorta short on any real plot or character development anyhow, I can't get too bound up over the fact that they appear to have essentially rewritten the whole thing for the series.

"Erase all her character development"? What character development? That guy's on something...
Anyway, I like it. Lots of stabbing

I'd like to congratulate Cartoon Network for being equal opportunity employers.
Because obviously whoever runs their marketing department has SEVERE mental deficiencies.
It's like they randomly toss darts to decide how to advertise new shows and movies.
Trinity Blood and Bleach lucked out, and their darts hit the "get promoted heavily weeks in advance" side of the board.
Blood and the Iron Man and Hellboy movies got stuck on the "let's not tell anyone about this and air the first commercial a half-hour before it actually airs" side.

I wonder about that too. From what I've heard, Saya had a fairly one-dimensional character in the movie prequel. And how the hell can this guy make accusations of them devolving her character when she has amnesia? And isn't the show like 30+ episodes long? It's a little early to start making baseless assumptions before you see how she actually develops, nimrod.
And I like what I'm watching so far. Beats the hell out of Trinity Blood anyway. -_-* (My god, did the ending suck...if you can even call it that).

That's not because of mental deficiencies. That's just being a dick.

It's because the original creator died before the series was finished.

Evidently there's a timeskip around ep.30 that does nothing good for her character.

.....Oh.:o
Well, in any case, I recommend that you just watch the show and judge it for yourself.

Being one of the few that actually watched the original movie prequal, I can say that the first episode was alright. Not mind blowing, but not bad. I'll certainly keep watching it as it unfolds.
As for Trinity Blood, I didn't mind the way the show went. It was slow, and a bit boring at points, but overall, the character designs, artwork, ect...was good for me and I enjoyed the show (not in my Top 20, but in my Top 50, probably).

Yeah, I was anticipating this. This is the first time I've watched this series, and I haven't read any spoilers on it; the only thing I know about it going in is that the second and Third OP themes kick so much ass it's not even funny.
