What was Mrs. Wayne's secret in "Generations 2"?

I finally got around to reading "Superman/Batman: Generations 2," and there was a little thing in the last issue that nagged at me.

Bruce and Bruce Jr. go to visit Bruce's wife (who's never named) at the hospital in 2008. She tells them, "But now, we're all together again. And before I break up the family for the last time, there's one last thing I have to tell the two of you..."

But none of the characters appear again in the 2008 segment of the book. And "Generations" only went up to 1999, so I don't think the answer was there.

So what's she talking about?

If I recall correctly, that was meant to be a loose end to be resolved in Generations 3.

However, when Generations 3 came out, Byrne ended up replacing his original plan and going in an entirely different direction.

So, to answer your question, nobody knows. Except Byrne, I guess.

On a related note, I really liked Generations 1 &2, but 3 was never collected, is it any good?
