1) Dr. Zuel/Giganta earns Atom's trust with a few more dates, etc, and even helps him out in a battle or 2. But it's all a plan to get close to him and get a good look at the size-changing belt. See, she too has been at work on a belt, and only needs a good look at Atom's to solve the final road block that has her stumped. The thing is, unlike Atom's belt based on a white dwarf star's energy, hers is based on a red giant, and will allow her to grow to incredible new heights and power. She succeeds, but doesn't try to kill Atom or go on a rampage or anything... in the time spent getting closer to him, she actually learned to like him. Her quest was for scientific knowledge and to see if she could do it (and the personal power is nice too...) But Wonder Woman sees a vastly more powerful Giganta as a major threat, and comes after her. Does Atom side with WW because he learns that Zuel got close to him to steal his technology? Or has he now developed reciprocal feelings for her as well, and believes that she really could change, and so defends her from Wonder Woman?
2) A one adventure return of the old Atom/Hawkman team. A villain from a never before told Atom (Ray Palmer)/Hawkman adventure returns, and after Hawkman fills in the new Atom on what happened previously, they team up to take down the angry foe who doesn't realize how long he's been gone, and is after "Atom" for revenge.
